Is watching McDonald's All American Game tonight for "scouting" purposes super degen?

I plan on watching tonight to check out this Jabari Parker kid. I feel like Coach K or some shit. A year ago I wouldn't have given a damn, now I need to know this stuff for when winter rolls around, lol.
