A group of guys in my hometown are starting a calcutta pool. I've read some articles. And have the gist of it, assigning values on pot% and payout%. Just curious if anyone else is in on of these? Thanx SBP

I am in one myself only it is a lot more expensive. I have been a lurker on this board for a long time and actually came over to see if there was a Calcutta thread here, because I posted the same question next door with no replys. In my Calcutta a #4 is is going for $1000-$1500 with the #1's around. I am with just one other person and our budget is about 5K. So that said I am looking to 3 or 4 and higher. My first round will pay $350 and my 2nd $750. So if I spend a grand that team needs to make it to round 3 for a break even. With that said I like

St Louis - Probably be $1500-$2000. Can they beat Louisville in round 3? If not, it is not a good buy and I don't think they can.

I bought kansas. Fla. Vcu. Oklahomo. New mexico. Arizona. Pitt. St louis. Mizzou. And a homer team creighton. All teams for 240$ total. Highest price team I bought was 45$. Got some good teams for 15% of the total pool. I think I did ok. Any thoughtsComment -
