Wisconsin @ Minnesota Thur 2/14

Minnesota has lost 6/8 and they do have some issues. Nonetheless they are still a quality team and this is a huge game for them. They are 5-7 in conference with their next two games on the road at Iowa and Ohio State, followed by a home tilt vs Indiana. They will be looking at this game with tunnel vision. I have a lot of respect for this Wisconsin team and don't like giving them points, however I feel like they are in a tough spot here.

Good call here, the Barn is tough, Whisky is spent, but Minny is a Mess...Low ball as it could be a one sided score with points few and far between..

Not saying I disagree with the pick. But why is Wisconsin spent? They haven't played since Saturday. Not to mention they're coming off a huge win, and are well aware that a win here gives them a pretty legitimate shot at a conference title.

Just think they are drained, that Michigan game was poorly played by both sides on offense. Tons of bad shots taken, missed shots, turnovers...very sloppy.

Yea but that makes sense for that game. It was their third game of the week, and the second game a few days prior (v. Iowa) went to double OT. And missed shots are pretty par for the course for Wisconsin.

Again, not saying I disagree with the pick. I think Minnesota should probably win the game by 3-5, so I think the line is pretty dead on. It'll essentially be swung by whether or not Minnesota hits free throws down the stretch. But I don't think it will have anything to do with Wisconsin not being ready for the game or being too tired. They've had 5 days off, it's a rivalry game, and a win keeps them a game off the conference lead in a race where they would have the easiest closing schedule.

I am hoping for a UW victory as I am an alum. Getting 5 points is very tempting with the way they play lock down D and frustrate the hell out of their opponents. I think because of the pace of the game, suspect shooting by both teams, uncharacteristic bad free-thow shooting of UW, that lame-assed raised floor, and all the questions by Tubby calling his group a bunch of losers a couple weeks ago point to the under.
