#37you're stunned? why? I wasn't at all. can't back road teams in college very often.Originally posted by No coincidencesI'm literally stunned at this outcome. Not that MSU won, but in the way they did.
U-M just plain quit. Horrible shot selection, no fight -- this one's on Burke. He's the point guard and should be their leader. Appling owned him tonight. I'm starting to wonder about Burke given the way he's played in big games, which included the NCAA Tournament flameout in the first round last year vs. Ohio.

#39nah, i saw what they were made of vs the Buckeyes when they were on their home court. they escaped in OT thanks to no calls by refs.Originally posted by J_smiffYou weren't stunned that one of the best teams in the country just got fukkin destroyed by 30?! Come on man.
i kept that in my mind all week. defense leads to offense in college. that's why Indiana lost to Illinois... late game failures on offense. then they came back and beat OSU on the road, why... because they played good D and that lead to easy offense.
any team in college can lose by 20+ on any night... Florida destroyed kentucky on their home court... but Florida just got destroyed recently.... hmmm... on the road <---- collegeComment -

#41no. Florida blows out Kentucky first half... then still wins the 2nd half.Originally posted by No coincidencesYou weren't surprised at all that MSU won by 25? What?
Indiana blows out Buckeyes first half as road team... then still wins the 2nd half.
Kansas blows out KSU first half... and still wins the 2nd half.
MSU is better than Michigan and at home, blows out Michigan, a pretender team...then, still wins the 2nd half. rankings mean shit.
same stories in college repeat themselves all season. UNC - Duke tomorrow first half over... and Duke will probably be up by 10 or more. then Duke might win the 2h by 5 more pts... and I am a UNC fan here.Comment -

#42I just think they got tactically outplayed and MSU stepped up defensively against MU's guard. And Izzo>BellienOriginally posted by No coincidencesI'm literally stunned at this outcome. Not that MSU won, but in the way they did.

#43Man what a fukking great game. Loved every second of it. Spartans playing a complete game in all aspects. Coming together like they usually do this time of year. Nice statement game and response to all the hype Michigan has been getting in this state and nationally this year. Looks like they played with a chip on there shoulder. Now hopefully they don't come out completely flat to Nebraska on Saturday. Bad sandwich spot on road for them between Michigan and Indiana. Feel that game may be a lot tighter than it should be.Comment -

#44The teams you mention as comparisons are superior (Florida's way better than Kentucky, Indiana > Ohio State, Kansas > Kansas State, Duke > UNC). You can't say the same with Michigan and MSU. If they played 100 more times, it would never end in a 25-point MSU win.Originally posted by ThaTopMoronno. Florida blows out Kentucky first half... then still wins the 2nd half.

#45That was an outstanding effort by MSU, without question. They looked like title contenders in every aspect. I love Gary Harris' game. And Valentine does so many little things well for a freshman. Hell, even Costello got in on the act.Originally posted by HOT WINGSMan what a fukking great game. Loved every second of it. Spartans playing a complete game in all aspects.
