Please dont take this the wrong way when I pose this question. I read your thread almiost very day. Today you have played 1favorite in your 12 plays. Prior days are similar. I see overall you are just about break even. Why are you so heavy on dogs? Do you know records when playing favorites vs. playing dogs? Sometime I have seen answers that "I am looking for the most value". A winning favorite has just as much value as a winning dog and a heck of a lot more value than a losing dog with "value".

Again...not trying to be antagonistic. I know the "public" leans to favorites and we know how that goes in the long run, but I would think records would improve if you had more of a mix of both

Duke fan, I don't think your logic holds water. I've played I think maybe 1 favorite since I've been posting and I'm not so sure my record would improve if I picked more favorites. It's all about what picks you make. There's plenty of people that pick both favorites and dogs who don't do well.

Also, I'm sure there are plenty of different reasons for playing dogs. I just do better picking dogs than I do picking favorites, not really because there is anymore value there. Again, IMO it all just depends on what picks you make, not that there needs to be a certain ratio of favorites to dogs.

Fair enough. 8 of his last 38 picks are dogs. I know he puts a lot of time into his picks. For me, when I look and see 80% are dog plays, I disregard the rest
