I am completely paranoid right now
I know, I know -- most of you think I'm this way all the time.

I had huge plays on Northern Iowa +1 (push) and Oklahoma +12.5 (loss) today. UNI gets called for a phantom foul with 1 second left on a three-point shot with a one-point lead and loses by 1. Then I take Oklahoma +12.5 (after it opens at 14) because I got busy with stuff this afternoon; Sooners are down 11 with 16 seconds left and a fvcking OU kid fouls, KU makes two free throws and magically wins by 13.

Normally I would chalk this up to "variance," but if you've visited my thread this year, it's like this week after week, play after play. Is it time to just throw in the towel after a season full of bullshit?

I should say even more paranoid than normal.

These plays have been unreal. All year long it's been like this.

I feel the same way the last 3 days bud. Everything going against me. I've been doing this long enough that I know it really is just variance. And I think you've been doing this long enough that you know that if you use MM and don't chase that eventually things will turn around for you.
I am having a hell of a bad streak too, but I am sitting out the rest of the day and may make one play tomorrow.
Keep your chin up I've been there too.

BTW, you'll be singing the blues with me after this Oregon State/Wazoo game. Two crooked teams from a crooked conference.

It's definitely variance. But getting the best line is one of the best ways to beat variance in the long run. GL.

Agree with the crooked conference. Time will tell on the game. Gonna be close.

Yeah, but I've been getting great lines in my thread all year and it hasn't mattered.

Of course the one time I can't get OU at the number I want, it makes a huge difference because of a meaningless foul in a double-digit game with 16 seconds left.

I pushed with Oklahoma +13, They had an easy layup at the buzzer off a missed three. I really needed a break, been having unbelievably bad luck.

It's kind of like last night in the Mavs Spurs game. Both Mavs and Sooners made a huge push to pull it relatively close. They are rivalry games and the crowd in Dallas demands they play to the buzzer. Oklahoma was putting together a nice late run, probably wanted to get practice for a similar situation later in the year. I don't doubt there is corruption, but I didn't see it in these two games
