Watched them today. Typical Orange. They have a ton of talent, but if you give Boeheim enough rope, he'll hang himself every time. Just a horribly coached and executed game against a team they should've put away a thousand times over.
There's a reason this program has been to just two Final Fours in the last 25+ years. Constant NCAA underachievers because come tourney time, you have to be able to walk the walk as a true "elite" coach. Boeheim is a great recruiter -- clean? doubt it -- but he's just lucky he was allowed to ride Carmelo's coattails in '03 because otherwise we'd be talking about a quarter-century of regular-season success and NCAA tournament disappointment.
I'm sure they'll finish the regular season with 4-5 losses, ranked in the Top-5, etc., etc. And I'm sure that, once the Elite Eight rolls around, they'll be long gone.
