    Wisconsin/Indiana last night
It was almost embarrassing how much Ryan out-coached Crean.

Crean may be a better recruiter, but he was taken to the cleaners by Bo. I'm no fan of Ryan or Wisconsin, but you have to respect what he does year in and year out. The talent disparity on that court was a joke, yet Wisconsin came up with a gameplan that brought IU to its knees on its own court.

    nailed it.

IU has been exposed. 2 losses this season, same blueprint. Both executed by superior coaches to Crean.

    A) slow the game down.
    B) out rebound IU
    C) be tougher than IU
    D) lock Hulls down.

Do this, and you can beat IU.

Bo Ryan is a top 10 coach in college hoops. a lot of people don't like Wisconsin's style (including that hack Mike Tirico). well, they can go eat a bag o dicks. i would watch Wisky/Sparty over Heat/Thunder any day of the week.

Only knock on Bo is his relative lack of NCAA Tourney success. Izzo can and will adapt to multiple styles of play. Wisconsin typically doesn't, and if they aren't getting the whistles and a superior team talent-wise forces the tempo on them, it's usually curtains.

no question, Bo's weakness is his inability to adapt. that said, Badgers have performed better/not underachieved as in prior years in the last two tourneys, so perhaps he's improved there. if he can show improvement there, be might really deserve some kudos, but any coach has to be able to adapt styles to be truly successful.

Bo is top 10 but Izzo is on another level, up there in the rarefied air with Saban. we actually played this game at the bar last Friday night: if you have to pick one coach to coach a team to victory in one game in his sport, and both your life and his life depend upon it, who do you choose? the general consensus was Izzo or Saban (although Sir Alex Ferguson, Belichick and Brad Stevens got a fair amount of support; Majerus (God rest) did too; bartender tried to chime in with Coach K and got shut down quick). not surprisingly, no NBA coaches were mentioned.

The irony is that Izzo and Saban were hired by Michigan State at the same time, and they're still close friends to this day.

to use your screen name, that's certainly no coincidence. great minds in a given field tend to gravitate towards one another. would love to be a fly on the wall for one of their conversations about coaching tactics.

Prior to that game last night Wisc had beaten IU 10 straight times, it should not have been a surprize to anybody that the game would be close. I don't care for Wisc style of play either because they get away with a lot of clucthing, and grabbing, and hacking, but it's how they let them play in the Big 10!

They shut down zeller in the second half. Crazy how retarded the second half shooting was.
