    ML Favorites
Don't you idiots know if you bet the ML favorites in these College Ball games, you're almost guaranteed victory. And No, I'm not talking about heavy, heavy ML favorites. I'm talking bets around -250 -300 or such. And I'm not saying just randomly lay money down on ML favorites, obviously it takes a couple minutes studying the matchups to make sure the favored team will win. I've banked profit doing this. Way better then playing the spreads where you can barely eclipse over 50 %

Problem with this is, lets say there are 3 -300 favorites.
You bet 300 to win 100 on all 3. If all 3 win well you're doing great. If u hit 66% You still lose 100
If you bet 110 to win 100 on the same games, just for the spreads, and hit 66%, you end up winning 90

Problem with this is if you "bet 300 to win 100 on all 3 (A)" ≠ "If you bet 110 to win 100 on the same games (B)". Every time you win B, you win A. The reverse is not true, obviously. Let's say you win B 50% of the time. In the 50% of the times you lose let's says 50% of those games had a game difference less than the line. That is an extra 25% of the time overall the ML bettor wins and the spread bettor loses. 75% wins, 25% losses compared to 50% wins 50% losses. Think there is any reason the OP is looking for value in ML bets specifically priced from -250 to -300?

profitable so far. I think it will only get better as the sample size increases. Starting to really learn the teams as we head into conference play.

It's really simple. Sportsbooks don't like to give up money on the underdogs. It's no secret the favorites win at a very high clip. I'm not gonna lie here. I've taken a single $100 up to over $10,000 just betting favorites to win. I obviously study the matchups to make sure the favorites will win and the underdogs won't prevail and I stay away from matchups like todays Cincy @ Pittsburgh and Michigan State vs Minesota, because there you have 2 really, really good teams.
