Santa Clara was a game the public played just because they love FOSTER, but look what happens when he only scores 8 points. Team relies way to much on the transition jumpshot and typically doesnt pound the ball in the paint, but they cant really bc there big man is Trasolini and he is a waste of space. Even though he scored something like 18 points in the win tonight that is not something he is normally capable of.

Syracause was just a stupid line to take. Never lay that many points with a CUSE team against a pesky Detroit team that you never no what Detroit team is going to show up.

Notre Dame im not sure what the line was but im assuming it was a lot againt just to many points

North Dakota not sure didnt look at it

Vandy not sure didnt look at it

In my humble and non sarcastic opinion is this:

You kill in football etc, why? Well you might know it better, there is more available info and ability to watch/tail teams. You have a solid intuition and common sense in week to week positions. Injury status little more public.

So... I have the same problem. You said yourself you make 20+k in a football season and lost 6k in two weeks.
The obvious thing here is if you aren't as good at b ball, at least with the range of matchups. So if your gonna play the same kind of games you listed North Dakota, Valpo, Santa Clara then be smart.

I had Santa Clara and Notre Dame. I have the same issue I tail and try and gather info but I dont have my own developed solid basis to make a determination on the matchups. So I have no real feel of my own. But I enjoy playing them and thus wont stop. So this is our issue... perhaps.

YOUR PROBLEM IS BETTING AMOUNTS THAT CAN POSSIBLY PUT DOWN 6K IN TWO WEEEKS. I had to realize I dont know cb like I do football or even NBA and thus moved towards moneylines and lesser amounts.

You aren't posting this if you were down 1K and enjoyed the ride a bit.

Was there and wont go back, scale back on CB and keep doing what your doing just apply better MONEY MANAGEMENT which im sure you know how to do, your pride of a 20+k ride is giving you a false sense of security.

This was the obvious to me: Poor $ Management and a bit emotional. I do the second a lot myself still. Whats the fun if you don't walk away with your money and a "ass kicker, this shits easy" feel from the ride! lol Flipside is the losing money and im a loser feeling from being peaks and valleys instead of a logical plateau. I'll never be a amazing bettor because I do it for fun just as much to make money. The just money first and maybe a little fun along the way are the guys making all the money consistently. I had a 16k weekend back when Steelers played on Sunday or Monday night a couple weeks ago and then gave back 1/3 next weekend. But I had lots of fun!

Also its all disposable income for me not bill money like unfortunately many of these cats are up against. If that's the case then scale back on the east popcorn state vs IPUW PEE U!

It's been my experience that if you play totals in CBB,you are better off playing more unders than overs.I know it's hard to play a low total under like Vandy 127,but I missed it as I had plan to play it under myself.Some teams are naturally over teams,but I think Vandy more than not is gonna be a under play,especially when playing a IVY team.To be honest with you when Conference play starts and they have more totals to bet on.I'd jump on the unders ie; BIG TEN & Big East Conference would be a good place to start.Good Luck Buddy!

The think is in football if I happen to take a 17 point spread or 20pnt Spread. The other team rarely comes back with in 4pts??? This happens a lot in bball for some reason I'm not sure of

whoa whoa dont be jumping on the UNDERS in the Big10 anymore. This isnt the same Big10 everyone is used to the conference has changed and with the conference changing also the different coaches. Everyone used to play the UNDER in the B10 but not with all the new coaches and styles of play the conference is gonna blow a lot of people over if they havnt been paying attention. This is an offensive minded conference now.

lol thats because your comparing two different sports man. Freethrows and tempo are what college basketball is all about! Gotta know the styles of play, gotta know the players, gotta know the coaches. Football is a slower game than basketball so its easier to predict, gotta know the transfers, and the injuries all on a short notice!

There were better games that day to bet on..unfortunately you picked and or tailed the wrong ones. I have never watched a NCAA BB game and but I still win my ATS parlays. I do however do a lot of research before placing the bet including 1st and 2nd half. Also knowing when a coach take out or put in their 'Jordans' is great to know. If you are tailing someone, do they have a winning record? There's no way you can compare this sport to football when it comes to betting. There's a lot of adjustments to make in Ncaa bb

It is wrong to blindly say play Unders in college hoops. Each game is different so to put a blanket statement like stick to just unders is dead wrong. College basketball more than any other sport can be prolonged with as many as 25 to 30 points in the final 2 minutes with the fouling that will go on. If it is a 5-8 point lead with a little over a minute get ready for lots of fouls and points.

I was hoping for some input from you COU,LoL...Since you mentioned it there has been more scoring with some of the teams from the BiG Ten and others,I think they are some teams that just don't score that much and play good defence as a rule over the past few years and you just have to pick your spots to play the under.I've been looking at the board over the past few weeks and with the games with listed totals,there have been more unders than overs to hit.I've noticed that you don't play many totals or at least haven't posted any or many this year? with your name College OVERUNDER I figured you would be playing more LoL...If and when you do play totals,what do you use as a guide to make your decison other than points for/against,is there a Short explanation? i know you look at fg% etc...but is there a Short cut that you use??? thoughts Thanks COU for your input and good Luck and I've been tailing ur picks and looking for you too get red hot LoL again!!!

You make a GREAT point about the late fouling etc...I've noticed that A LOT this year,and even when teams have no chance at winning being down 10 or more points with less than 30 secs or so and just keep damn fouling.THAT's the reason I DON'T blindly bet unders anymore as I did at one time.All that being said, I have noticed this year that more unders have hit than overs.I'm sure it will all even out in the long run though,LoL...Good luck Buddy!

Based on the info I provided above I hope this helped fellow sbr posters make a little $$$$. The douch bag the posted below probably lost money tonight. As stated in my first post, I said the first half would be between a 5-10 point game for the Rebels and it was. In the second half I threw in my free play for +120 money line on utep and got $12 bucks out of it. I wanted to sit back and enjoy a close game and I did Also got to see our old coach Billy Gillespie. Apparently hes been helping Tim Floyd coach up the boys. Have a great night everyone!

I dont typically start playing totals until Conference play actually. I start to go away from the spreads and shift to the TOTALS because the spreads are sharp as hell during conference play. And ya I factor a shit load of equations that can happen. But I dont put any of this into play until conference place starts because most of the knowledge is usless until we see half of the seasons for the players averages

Hello I just wanted to give some information and also get some suggestions on this play tonight. I am a huge utep fan, and go to every home game and follow every road game. Currently the line is at -6.5 for UNVL. My thoughts on this game are as follows. I believe that this game will be closer than people think. There will be close to 12,000 fans for this game. HOWEVER, I palced my wager on the 1st half at -4 FOR UNVL. UTEP tends to get off to slow starts and being that they havent played in 8 days, I belive the same will hold true. I see the game being within 5-10 point first half lead for UNLV. Also UTEP struggles on the board and given that this is a strength for UNLV, this will play a factor in the game. Although I am a huge utep fan. I'd love to win the 1st half bet, and then sit back and enjoy a close second half. Any thoughts or suggestions at looking at this matchup??

I"m the opposite, I blow all my money on football and win it all back on college bball. Honestly, the best way to cap college ball is to watch the games and know the styles of play. If you focus on one conference in particular you will have a game or two a night where you should know how the matchup will play out and a good feel for the spread. Conference play starts after the 1st. Right now when you have non-conference play it is almost impossible to predict these games with accuracy.

Hence, bet small now, watch the games and try to cap them, but once conference play starts watch a conference, get to know the teams and players and you should have a good feel for the spreads.
