#5fishy line movement, USC is really bad though. Know nothing about Nebraska, USC is almost an automatic fade for me, killed it on the SDSU game the other night, but this line movement is keeping me from my usual fade.

#9Ummmmm....Why is Nebraska getting so much love? I'm guessing most people are fading USC than actually backing Nebraska. I've been following Nebraska basketball closely for about 6-7 years now (went to school there), and I have to say that I'm impressed with the job Tim Miles has done thus far (given that he only had one starter back from a team that finished dead last in the B10 last year).
Having said that, Nebraska really hasn't played anybody. Their strength of schedule so far is #323, while USC's is #50 overall. Sure, the Trojans have had some bad outings, but they were against pretty decent teams. All of this needs to be considered. I think this game will be a low-scoring, grind-it-out style of game. I'm hoping the Huskers can pull it out at home, but I'm not sure how anybody can call this the lock of the day.Comment -

I haven't heard any reasoning why ppl should take Nebraska in this thread except for the fact that USC played bad on national TV in Maui, and they are playing on the road. Nebraska is unanimously the B10's worst team, not sure how they inspire so much confidence for a cover in this one. Keep in mind this is all coming from a Nebraska fan.Comment -

#16My bad. I guess I find "play of the day" and lock somewhat synonymous. Nebraska has a huge game hosting ranked in-state rival Creighton later this week, so there might be a little bit of a look-ahead for the Huskers.

#19As a Nebraska alum and fan, I'm happy the Huskers won this game. Tim Miles really has these guys buying into his system. There is a huge contrast from this team and the previous teams Doc Sadler put out on the floor. The energy is still there, but they are confident shooting the ball now. Under Doc Sadler, the offense was lethargic and inconsistent. Now, they look like they are playing free and in rhythm. They still have a long way to go, but they seem to be close to the right track.
Having said that, I didn't have a wager on the game. I was just trying to add a little bit of perspective and reasoning to this thread by playing devil's advocate. Nonetheless, good hit on this one. I'm glad the Huskers didn't let you down!Comment -

#20Tim Miles is a fantastic acquisition for Nebraska I wonder how long before someone goes after him again. I really enjoyed his CSU team last year, looks like he set the foundation again, guy can recruit with the best too.Comment -
