Howland can't simply recruit the best players in the land. He is a 100% system coach, and this years recruits - outside of maybe Kyle - don't fit his system well at all. (this has been a reoccuring theme ever since he went on those final four runs)
Tyler Lamb transferred just now. Kyle Anderson doesn't even start. His lockerroom is still a mess because of the headcases he constantly puts in there.
Bottom line, UCLA needs Darron Collison's. Prima Donna's don't work in Westwood with that guy running it.
