Being from Kentuckiana, and seeing how we be the Mecca of college basketball now, feel free to talk it up. Although Cats fans can just stay away; you're all a bunch of inbreds and bring nothing to the table in conversation from what I've known.

Cards fans, I wish my Hoosiers played you this year...show you what a real offense looks like. From what I am hearing though a football/basketball series is imminent.

Not sure this UK would have the chance to knock off Indiana early in the season. They would be tough to be at Rupp without a doubt, but the lack of consistent point guard play is concerning. The talent is there, but this group is probably the farthest behind when it comes to buying into Cal's team concept since his tenure at UK. Indiana was very dangerous last year and did nothing but add coveted freshman to their roster.

Out of curiosity, what are you thoughts on Ohio St and they way they match up with IU this season?

As far as OSU goes I think they will be good. Are they top 5? We will see. I think no, but then I don't see a team I would put ahead of them (NCST?) They MUST find a second option past Thomas and Craft. I really like both of those guys, but if no one else can consistently step up they will struggle against the upper echelon teams and maybe some bottom feeders on the road.

I believe Thomas and Craft are top notch. I think you are right that someone is going to have to step up and fill the role of a 3rd scoring option for them to be considered top 5 material. Smith and Ross are the likely candidates, but not sure anyone can fill that void right now. I don't see them on the same level as last year with Sullinger and Buford even with someone stepping up. NC State has looked very good and I would put them ahead of Ohio State at this point in the season.

Every fan base has their crazies. It does seem that UK has a slightly larger percentage. But the crazies are always the loud minority.

Sorry been out and about at the bars, but I liked them due to them getting their best player back (Jones). I am also not high AT ALL on FSU. I could be wrong in the end though. We will see.
