Lakers Clippers!

Lakers 8.5 favorites over Clippers... I am hammering this line before it moves. The Clippers scored so low preseason against teams not known for defense and against Portland who looked terrible tonight against the Lakers...not even in the same league. I don't want to say that through the transitive property or whatever that we should put a lot of emphasis on that, but the Clippers have some serious issues.

Baron Davis (sprained left ring finger) is going to play, but I don't know if we are going to see full production from him.

How are the Clippers going to match up both defensively and offensively. I think it would be a surprise if the Lakers did not beat them by double digits. After seeing the Lakers come out tonight and beat down a much anticipated Portland team, my worries that the Lakers might come out very sloppy have diminished.

Also there will probably be more Lakers fans cheering at this game than Clippers fans for sure (nobody in LA actually roots for the Clippers ca mon) This is a neutral playing field for the "road team" Lakers. And the Lakers do not have to fly anywhere tonight, they can just go to their homes and relax with their families.

On the hornets -5 as well. Hornets are better (with Posey) and Golden State is worse (for the reasons everyone knows about). Hornets will show up, disregarding the home advantage.

Should I lock it in tonight where the hornets are giving up -5 or wait till tomorow night to do so. Im afraid everyone will be hammering this line now and this line could go up to -7.

I say you get it now. I think it is going to move to exactly what you said... -7 (which is getting more marginal). No guarantees though, it's hard to predict that sort of stuff.

I can't wait to find some good spots for the clippers though. They don't look to shabby and I think they can beat up the crappy teams when the spread is close.

Yes very true. When they play teams from the west at the likes of New Orleans, Utah, Suns, Spurs all those good teams the line should be close. After watching all of the teams so far, I feel Lakers are best team in the nba.
