    My thoughts so far:

    Bet Against:

Milwaukee Bucks, they haven't looked good at all yet, and I am thinking they will be towards the bottom of the list for ATS records at the end of the season.

    Sleepers:

I have a feeling that Minnesota won't get any respect as far as lines go this season, and I could see them covering a lot of spreads in the first half of the season.

I think the Clippers will also cover a lot of spreads in the first half of the season with the addition of Baron Davis.

As one who watches the Nets year after year locally... I am going to be betting against them a lot this year. Practically rebuilding mode and an unmotivated Vince Carter.

Very true. But they always seem unpredictable. They have beat Miami twice, and Miami should be alright this year. And they played Boston pretty well too. No significant sign of defense on their behalf, and they look like they just want to keep up and hopefully make some plays in the 4th quarter.

I can't figure out a team that will be like last years Lakers or Celtics as far as ATS records go, but I know there are solid teams to bet against. Just like in NFL, everyone brings their best to the Cowboys or last years Patriots, and its hard to take them ATS every game, but its easier to play against teams like the Bucks who don't have a chance to compete this year. Michael Redd and Andrew Bogut can't win the games for them night in and night out. They have 5 road games coming up, and I don't see them winning any of those match-ups.

        ridiculous thinking
the worst teams will cover many big spreads
the best teams will fail to cover many big spreads
probably would work if you went opposite of what your thinking

I'd just take it day by day team by team... I also thought about this... But just dont seem like a good winning strategy
