Why does EVERYONE assume Miami is going to lose at least 1 game at home?

Whether people like OKC or Miami for the series, everyone seems to think that OKC is gonna go back home at worst down 3-2 and some even think up 3-2... Why? I actually think the Heat have every chance to win every game at home, their defense is even better at home and they won't play lazy like in game 5 vs Boston for example because I don't think anyone in that team wants to go back to OKC knowing how hard it is to win there. Bosh is seemingly close to 100% too. People who like OKC for the series I can understand, but why think they'll win 4-2 or 4-3 if you like MIA for the series? Surely if you thnk they're the better team they have a better chance of getting this thing done at home.

A couple of things. It's tough to beat a team of OKC's caliber 4 in a row. And Indiana/Boston both won in Miami, so why not OKC? I think OKC gets at least one on the road to bring it back home. We shall soon find out.

Because OKC has played horrible and Miami played and gave OKC their best shot in Game 2 and still almost lost. OKC will win 2/3 in miami

The problem with OKC is Westbrook
He is taking too many shots, if he keeps taking more shots than Durant OKC will lose the series

Yes but don't you think Miami's defense has something to do with OKC playing "horrible"? Miami are better prepared for this stage IMO and COULD (I'm not saying will) win in 5

True but Bosh was out for one of those games and it was his first game back (always complicated to get back in rotations) in the other.

It will be a split 2-1 either way. No chance either team wins all 3.

I don't bet sports so I may be way off, but the worst line I can find for Miami G3 is -200, essentially saying they should win ~67% of the time. Assuming nothing crazy happens you could expect Miami to be favored at best 67% of the time in G4 and G5. Meaning you're only going to win 3 games in a row 30% of the time.

Why is Bleek allowed to make any posts in this forum?

All you need to do is look at the history of the NBA Finals to realize how rare it is that the home team wins all 3 games.

I am shocked nobody mentioned this. (If they did, I apologize for not reading all posts carefully)

Because the Heat have lost atleast 1 game at home every series they have played so far. Oh and don't forget they are choke artists. Also if you have noticed, the Heat home court is not real roudy. They are somewhat loud but the energy is not near what you would think it would be. Atleast it hasnt been this far, and I am not quiet sure why this is. Also as another poster said, it is extremely hard to beat a team like the Thunder 3 games in a row. As of right now we are at 1-1, I will be very surprised if the Heat don't drop at least 1 at home. Okc is going to come out with the fury tonight. And regardless of what Westbrook says publicly, look for him to pass a lot more. There is absolutely no way Scotty Brooks isn't going to check Westbrook and say "you need to pass the ******* ball, we have the scoring champion on our team dumbass" Westbrook is key in this series. If he can change from a Tony Parker to a Rajon Rondo and learn when to score and when to kick it out, the Heat are ******* done. The Heat can NOT compete with a fully functioning Thunder team. They can NOT do it. I don't care if Lebron scores 80 pts, if the Thunder play to full potential and Westbrook learns to accept the role of a true PG, the Heat might as well get ready for the summer. Good Luck tonight.

True but 30% isn't "no chance". I personally thought it was around 50. Everyone seemed to just be assuming it was impossible. Anyone who's bet sports knows almost nothing is "impossible". Well, 1 down, 2 to go!

And didn't Miami play "awful" today and shoot 37% and still win?
