I did not realize it until I heard it on ESPN this morning, but even then I had to go back and check it. There have only been 3 teams to win the West in the NBA since the 97-98 season back when Jordan won his final championship. Since then only the Lakers, Mavs, and Spurs have won the West and gone to the NBA finals. That is a long time.
