First, the game happens instantly and in the heat of the battle..second...its human nature to try and get a shot open to score..not jump into a guy for free throws...in theory it sounds good..but in the live game it certainly isnt that easy. Suppose Wade goes to jump into the celtic defender and misses him..how retarted is that...

Wade is the greatest player at getting the foul called, once his defender is in the air.. I would rather take those chances, then see him shoot a fadeaway 3 pointer. The real question is why are you shooting a 3 when it's a 2 point game. And if you are going to go for the win, why not let your best 3 point shooters (who are least suspected) take the shot: Mike Miller, Mario Chalmers, James Jones (2011 3pt champion)Comment -

You can't ask for a better look for a game winning shot than what Wade had. Not only a completely open look...but a full 2 seconds, maybe more to release the shot.
