Early NBAX Game: Nets vs. Heat in Paris @ 1400h EDT

Anyone else awake early and examining this game? My gut says take the Heat, but my head wonders what makes them any better than the Nets at this point? I would appreciate any second opinions that might emerge.

It's not too early here in Florida, 11:30 right now. California is a different story though. The moneylines were just posted for the games so I'll have to monitor the lines a little bit, I'll respond with what I think in a bit.

I play at 5Dimes and the line opened early this morning at Miami -4.5. They now are down to Miami -3, and their wagering department tell's me they are looking at possibly posting a total as well. Just thought I'd share.

yeah the book im using hasn't even posted yet, but they both look to have deep preseason rosters which is the key, but this will be a different type of preseason game it will be played internationally, so im quite sure they will be trying to impress, the key players will probably all play atleast 30 minutes, if there is a total posted I will definitely take the ova up to 205, otherwise i like the underdog(Nets).

I wouldn't say 30 minutes, at least from the Nets side. Our guys are going to play around 20-25 minutes is what I heard.

I'm not actually playing it, I'm not going to take my Nets in the pre-season.

Just doing some more reading I see that the Heat roster has some ties to France. Diawara and Haslem have both played for the French team, and Joel Anthony is from Quebec and fluent in French. No such connections to France for the Nets...

I don't really think this has an impact on the matchup. And in contrast, the Nets have Sean Williams, the only player who truly shut Michael Beasley down in Vegas Summer League play.

Yay! Totals just opened at 5Dimes for all of today's NBAX action. This game opens at 188, and even though these are Eastern Conference teams that only arrived in Paris on Tuesday, I think I like the Over on this game.

I'm really liking the Nets. 77% is on the Heat and even so, the ML dropped at Pinny. I'll take a look into the total right now.

Agreed. After the research, I pulled the trigger on the Nets +3 just before it moved to +2.5. I also put a half a unit on the Over, just for shits and giggles.

Now I'd like to start off by saying that I was one lucky bastard when this game went to overtime. But in closing, I'd like to say that winning is wonderful, and that there are angles to be played even in the NBA preseason. Long live due diligence, and long live the profits!
