can't see the lakers winning this series. but it does feel like the thunder haven't played in a month. they are young and seem to thrive off momentum, hence the sweep of the mavs (who were the champs, yes, but snuck in this year as a 7 seed and generally didn't care about this season). it's not out of the realm of possibility that the lakers steal game one after the layoff.

honestly i say this mainly because if my grizz win tomorrow, which i fully expect them to, then they will have to play the spurs under similar conditions, and i am hoping for them to steal game one for the second year in a row due to the crazy layoff the spurs have had to deal with. so i am now applying this same theory to the thunder/lakers series in a devil's advocate kind of way. longshot in both cases, i know, but that's why they play the games...

LOL relax. you havent proven anything yet. it's the beginning of the second round. even if you do make it past the lakers, you have spurs and miami to contend with. it's championship or bust for you so no, you haven't proven anything yet at all. you beat an old washed up dallas team.

I'm not really sure how people expect me to react. I'm a fan of OKC and I'm pumped for this series. How does that make me a homer?

I've predicted OKC to lose plenty of times this season and have stated on numerous occasions that the Heat and Spurs are the two best teams in the league.

No one has disagreed with my opinion that OKC will beat the Lakers.

If some of you that are calling me a homer think LA is going to win say it.

I just asked the people that have doubted OKC if they're taking the Lakers.

It's pretty funny that the only comments I have gotten so far are that I'm a homer. No one has actually had the guts to come in here and say they are taking the Lakers when that was my original question.

I don't think I'm a homer but I am a fan and I am excited for this series as I think my team isbetter. And for the record, I don't always think that.

If people really think OKC is overrated and only a jump shooting team that isn't mentally tough, here is your chance to come in here and say they will lose to the Lakers. So far no one has come forward.

I'm not even a Memphis fan and I agree with your friend. Just look at their series with Clippers, Espn been slobbing all over the clips from the beginning, headlines are always cp3 or blake. Hardly a mention of either all star on the grizz. They just arent a sexy media hyped team

Fortunate yes. With that said, I posted that I felt this would come down to the wire in Lakerboy's thread.

Lakers came to play tonight. OKC played like junk. We left the building with the win. You have to be able to win when you aren't hitting on all cylinders. I'll take it.
