How did Lawson and Faried end up being drafted by the Nuggets?

Doesn't anyone else think these guys both should have been lottery picks?

Sometimes I think NBA scouting is horrible, how could every lottery team miss these guys?

I know Kenneth Faried was dismissed because he played for Morehead State and they thought he hadn't played good competition. The same logic that caused Chris Ponder/Blaine Gabbert/Jake Locker to be drafted ahead of Andy Dalton in the 2011 NFL Draft.

When will idiots(aka draft "experts") understand that who you played against really isn't that important?

Todd McShay last year: "Andy Dalton will not be a good NFL QB. He was not tested in the Mountain West Conference. Blaine Gabbert and Chris Ponder were tested week in and week out and faced much higher quality competition. In fact I would strongly consider drafting Gabbert #1 overall"

Lawson wasnt drafted by Denver. Anyways, the knock against him was/is his height and durability. He was injury prone in college.
