For bumping an official? Is that an automatic suspension?

The league office usually reviews it first before deciding whether to suspend or not.

He shouldn't. Let the stars play.
It was a horrible call but I don't think what he did warrants a suspension.

No. The trip saved him. If he's smart, he'll say that he stumbled. In a effort to not put his hands on the ref, he stuck his chest out to absorb contact from trip. That's plausiable and it is the playoffs.
In all honesty, he was pissed at the call. That was huge with 2 seconds on the shot clock. Things happen fast, but it looks like he tried to pull back at the last second and barely touched the guy.
You hate to see refs make game altering calls in the closing minutes. That should have been a jump ball. Bass was aggressive, but when aren't they when guys are scrambling on the ground for the ball. Rare to see a foul called it that situation.

I cant see how the fact that the refs call being horseshit is relevant. Its practically a given that there are terrible calls every game. But a player, clearly upset, physically touching the ref after being given a technical. I cant see how it wouldnt be at least 1 game suspension.

Boston homer here...the ref missed the call...Rondo was out of line. He should be suspended one game. It won't matter. We are so much better than the Hawks. We win in 6 (this is where you put thank me later........but I really have no idea so I'll take a SMOOCH instead!!!)

Yep. It's no different than when players left the bech in the SA/Phoenix series years ago. Rules are rules. Touch an official = suspension. Leave the bench = suspension. Doesn't matter if its playoffs or regular season.
