NBA PROB BET clarification help please

so i made a bet during the all star break on pinnacle

it was for spurs to "win the western division" for +504.

now...how i understood this was that san an was gonna catch okc for 1st place in the standing...

BUT my friend just suggested that it meant that San an was gonna come out of the west through the playoffs, and was irrelevant to the regular season.

Which one is it?? the exact description on pinnacle said this

Who will win the Western Conference?
San Antonio Spurs

spurs has to come out of the west, beat every playoff team in the west they face for you to cash.

Unfortunately, I don't see either one happening. SAS getting #1 seed in West or making it to the NBA finals.

There is no such thing as the western division. Spurs are currently atop the southwest division in their own conference.

Sounds like you either bet for them to come out with the #1 seed or win the western conference championship.

right. i bet it thinking i'd win if they caught okc for 1st place in the western standings...but most ppl think now that its for them to win the western playoffs. anyone made a bet like this on pinnacle before?

Not sure o on pin. But on sale that means spurs have to make the finals.
