I'm on Magic but Anthony is most likely playing. Lin is not. Stoudemire is out.

that trend is for the "1st" game a key player is out.. Not all of the games afterwards

that 1st game has already been played. So cap tonight's game accordingly from there

Doesn't this remind anyone of that game where they scored 50 points or so in Boston? Key players out on the other side, line moved from pk to orl-4 or -5 i think, and they lost by about 30

I will say Carmelo pulled his groin last night and was grimacing pretty bad in pain towards the end of the 4th. not sure how effective he can be. probably Orlando or no play.

I was thinking the same thing. Although the reason boston won that game so definitively was due to the lockdown defense of avery bradley. He would full court press jameer nelson and completely threw off the rhythm of the Magic offense forcing the Magic to setup their offense with 15s or less on the shot clock. I believe that Mike Woodson has inspired the Knicks to play some defense but not with the tenacity that Boston did that night. I think Chandler can contain Howard but it will be up to the rest of the team to play solid defense. My main concern is the effectiveness of Anthony tonight with his groin injury. He has to play defense tonight for the Knicks to have a shot.

Only worry is that Magic are really good at throwing road games against inferior teams when they're the favorite. Buyer beware

Id actually like Orlando more if Anthony plays tonight... His a cancer, will definitely ruin the offense.

The only reason the Knicks won that game against MIL is because both Jennings and Ellis literally built a home from bricks that night, something like 8-38 fg %. I don't see the Magic struggling that much, especially with the inside presence of Howard.

Joe public has been killing these short line favorites.

I have taken a huge hit since super bowl.

not sure where you get this from unless it's just that the bobcats loss and 1 or 2 others are sticking in your head. magic are slightly beating the spread as road favorites so far this year. not worldbeating, but it's a far cry from what you say when they're actually ahead in such a situation

really the magic for the past several years have been one of the best teams against inferior opponents -- they just aren't very good against the upper tier teams. they will still have some embarrassing losses now and then (but what NBA team doesn't?) and thats largely because they rely so much on the 3ball so can be streaky.

by no means am i saying this is a great play. knicks are more unpredictable than most. just pointing out that i don't believe there's much to support your statement

yes this... since he has soar groin from repeated poking of amare's back, he'll just throw up shot from the outside and go 3 for 15 or so. hope he plays at least for 3 quarters.
