If your answer is, "They're getting too many points", then you're probably going to lose.

Boston is playing a B2B on the road and Philly is rested. This has blow out written all over it and the line pretty much says it.

    Anyway, good luck as always.

Thinking the exact same thing. I think people are overvaluing BOS and undervaluing PHI right now.

Boston had 3 days of rest prior to last nights game... different then a normal b2b. This game is on ESPN and is a big game in regards to playoff seeding. Boston will not lay down tonight on national tv in such a big spot. There is tension in the philly locker room and this team is really struggling at this point in time..Boston might win this one straight up, let alone cover the 7. Also a big revenge spot for a prideful veteran team.

I'm on Philly for the reasons you state. Snagged them at -6 last night along with suns +5, my two favourite plays. I wouldnt be surprised if we saw a repeat of the 30pt blow out last time

Phili matches up really well with BOS. They are a deep team with a ton of length and size and they will have no problem staying in front of those old Celtic players.

Line just dropped back down to -6.5 which I'm already on, but I'm trying to take PHI 1H but the line is still sitting at PHI -4 1H. Trying to get it at -3.5.

I've actually made more money betting ON Boston than any other team in the NBA this year. I was all over them on the road against Atlanta a few days ago.

              With that said...

              - I don't think they match up well with the Hawks.
              - It's the second game of a B2B on the road.
              - Phillly is rested.
              - Boston is coming off a big win.
              - Line indicates Philly is the play.

I want to know what everyone's reason is for taking them tonight. The game being on ESPN isn't really a good reason imo. Also, I would like to remind you that the public gets killed in big games on TV like this and the public seems to love Boston tonight.

The line moved back to 6.5 but that wasn't smart money.

Nothing is every for certain in gambling but Boston seems like a sucker bet tonight. I could be wrong and wish everyone the best.

BigD you could be right. But its not like the celtics are playing their 4th game in 5 nights.

It's just their 2nd game in a 6 night stretch.

speedy, philly is not the best match up for them, agreed. But one thing they do is play at a pace boston prefers , If Boston plays with the same energy they did last night, and if this turns into a defensive slow paced battle, Boston has a good chance of covering imo

just like the Atlanta game. slow, defensive, and boring as hell, boston prefers ,, and then they break out in the 4th using their experience - nail a few 3's in a row bringing in an extra guy to crash the boards for extra possessions in the 4th. Their MO in these types of games

BOS 1-7 ATS when the back end of the b2b is on the road.

And I think its already factored in the line. If they were even the line would be alot lower.

lets not forget that Philly is a team that has some internal issues going on. And they've played poorly as of late.. and they totally stink against good teams. They only beat down the worst teams and their ATS record against the better ones is abysmal.

Boston has more confidence right now. If the knicks can walk into philly on a b2b and win,, boston can cover 7 imo. They do have the revenge angle on their side as they didn't even show up in philly 3 weeks ago.

Again,, I'm not in love with either side. Its just an intriguing matchup and situation for both teams.

Ray in many past games been blanketed anyway and is usually seen late in games, he's been a non factor for about 3 quarters. He's said its been kinda frustrating.

looks like Boston wants to return the favor for the last game in philly when they got blown out

philly looks to have that stink to them like Knicks pre-Lin, Portland for awhile with McMillan, and the clippers recently. The Sixers are going to have to wake up quick and earn this one, it won't be handed to them like last time when Boston didn't show up

Philly should go after Dwight next year. They have so much talent and depth, they could give Orlando a good offer.

No matter what happens in the first half, in the second half these games always gravitate towards what the initial line was.

                                                Blow out city.

Also, I love live betting. I didn't take the 76ers until I grabbed them at -3.5 for the game live. It looks like they will cover the original spread but still. Live betting is great in the NBA considering big leads always seem to evaporate.

As soon as Pietrus went down i snagged Sixers -4.5 for $750. I figured that would make them mail it in for the rest of the game

not saying boston covers... but game is completely different if allen and peitrus play

could have been simple for boston as well if brand and louwill didnt play

injuries just throw a wrench in everything
