I've got the bankroll to cover it, I'm just not sure if I am chasing a sick dog. There performance tonight was pathetic. I've lost

damn dude This is why I don't Martingale. I chased this way a few months ago and wound up burying myself...an unreal run at blackjack got it back and then some. Don't recommend the blackjack strategy though, had a horseshoe up my ass.

Like the other guy said, they've gotta cover sooner or later.

Fortunately, I've had some big wins during that time span so I am only down $360 since 2/28. Just tickes me off that the Rockets killed an otherwise good streak. Gotta take a poll. What would you do?

Just started tracking "Sportsbook Investing" (Martingale) since someone keeps posting there picks on here. On there website it says to give up after 5 straight losses. 7 picks since 3/1 and today was 5 losses in a row with the Oklahoma pick. So that would have been $796.81 down the drain to win $20........ I think I'll pass.

Why, do you think they are that bad? Would you chase it if it were a better team? The Knicks went through a situation like this in Jan/Feb. I didn't chase though

The martingale always comes down to whether your in for the long haul or not.

Typically, you run out of funds, or in the instance of blackjack-the casino has a max bet. So eventually you have to stop.

If your book doesn't have a max, you have a couple K more to go, and you're already in this deep, I think you have to stick it out.

But that's a decision you have to make, and should you continue, a limit should be decided before you start.

GL, I hope you make it out!

(With all that said, if you're near the end of your money, call it a loss and move on.)

I have seen up to 10 games, but only once or twice in the last 7 years that I have been keeping stats. The key number that I use is "7". Houston has not covered in 7 straight games, so they will cover one of then next two.....IMO..good luck to you....

Helluva team to chase. They played out of their minds and over expectations for 2 months. They are slightly above mediocre and will not make it out of the 1st round of the playoff, yet the lines were treating them like a 1st tier playoff team. The lines have been equilibriating lately on them though, reflectively their true level as a team.

dont feel bad man.... you aint the only one chasing this fuckin team.... i chased them the last 3 games ...not only just chasing ..for the hell of chasing... i actually thought they was really gonna win and cover them games.... but they ******... yesterday if you was lucky enough to get the nets+3 in an oline book wouldve been nice.... but i have a local that gave me the line -6.5 ... sucks that i lost that houston bet cuzz i hit my 5 other plays... and lost only houston by .5 pts...

They were 20-14 ATS prior to this spell so I think the lines were reflective of how they were playing, which was over expectations

but here we go again.... im gonna play them and ride it out...cuzzz this team have to cover sometimes... maybe today as an 3.5underdog.. to a clevleand team that hasnt won 3 games in a row the whole year... and they already won 2 straight coming into this game... 3 straight wins for this cleveland team will be their first... but im crossing my fingers... go rockets!!!

I don't mean to be a dick, but why the Houston Rockets? Why not chase with a good covering ATS team, or now because they've lost so many straight is it just the principle that you are playing for?

Houston had a winning streak of something like 23 straigh games (not that all of them covered but a huge amount did)

You know nothing about this team. There are institutional issues that could cause them to lose the next five games ATS as well. Why are you betting on them?
