What's The Reason For DAL Line Dropping From -4.5 to -2?

Is it big money on NYK or is there something Vegas knows that we don't?

I want to take DAL big tonight, but I'm a bit thrown off by the line.

IMO -4.5 looks like the right line, not -2.

Only thing that worries me is all Dallas has is Mahimi in the middle.

Two reasons for Dallas backers to worry:

1)Dallas will be without Brendan Haywood and Brandan Wright inside. That leaves them with Dirk, Yi, Odom, Sean Williams, and Mahimi.

2)The Knicks were off Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before playing Sunday against Boston. They then had Monday off. Meanwhile, this will be Dallas's sixth game in eight days. They haven't been getting time off after the break.

If DAL beat OKC yesterday, I probably would have left this game alone. But the fact that they gave up that game at the end, I don't see how they don't come out ready. Not to mention it is the NY Knicks of all teams. Everyone wants a piece of Linsanity. I think a team playing 4 games in a row would still find a way to come out ready against the Knicks.

The line drop, dallas' lack of big men and the knicks being unpredictable have scared me off of backing the mavs tonight. My book offers chandlers rebounding over/under at 9.5 so i took the over there, he should be able to dominate the boards on both ends you would think

If this wasn't a revenge spot for allas I'd have left it alone. They got robbed bare on NY and should bounce back tonight.

That said, I think I'm gonna wait to get their ML at + money.

Haywood is absolute garbage, and Mahimi is a slight upgrade, but they are still left thin at C. Chandler isnt healthy on the other side though

haywood exposed for the pos he is. literally top 3 worst centers in the league. Slow, unathletic, zero offensive capability, 40% FT shooter. Mahimi huge upgrade

Guess I should be glad my books didn't have the 9.5 because I would have bet it.

Ended up being up on this game.

Lost over 94 second half at Heritage but won with Dallas -2 and -2.5 at 5 Dimes.
