would have been 2 shots for the celtics, 1 point game with the knicks at the line, probably about 4 seconds left.. and the celtics with NO timeouts....

For some reason NBA and even college coaches think the odds of fouling a guy, having him make, miss, then get a putback are higher than a great 3 point shooter like Pierce or Allen making a 3 in that situation. Seems like a no brainer but you rarely see a coach employ this strategy.
Then in overtime when they were down 4 or 5 with 30 seconds left they didn't foul. That was their only hope, albeit it a very small hope.Comment -
