This is America. You don't get awards for losing. Durant scored just as many points as Lebron and his team won.

Durant Winning > Lebron losing.

Lets look at the stats....

Lebron 9/15 2pt FG (2 uncontested dunks) and 6/8 3pt FG (0 FT's)

Durant 11/17 2pt FG (7 uncontested dunks) and 3/8 3pt FG (5 FT's)

I think even Durant was embarassed when he was collecting the award.

Where did you see a stat saying Durant had 7 uncontested dunks?

As for the people saying Lebron was the reason the East came back, weren't Durant's 36 points part of the reason the West won?

I can't believe some of you people actually think Lebron should have been the MVP and are splitting hairs over uncontested dunks. Here is a freaking news flash, NO ONE PLAYS DEFENSE IN ALL-STAR GAMES! Don't act like Lebron was making all of these tough shots with great defense on him. They were pretty much wide open looks just like every look everyone else had.

Anyway, it's pretty simple. Durant's team won. He gets the MVP. I'm not sure why some of you have to defend Lebron or argue for him. Who cares? His team lost, he doesn't deserve the award.
