MEMPHIS - The hoopla surrounding the 76ers earlier in the season when they jumped out to win 18 of their first 25 games was unlike any surrounding the team in years. Talk of playoff seedings and opponents filled radio airwaves and beat writers' email inboxes.

Speights the former Sixer could be looking to get back with a huge game against his former team especially with Hawes out for the Sixers, Speights is playing really well lately averaging 16 pts and 12 rebounds in his last 3 games. The Sixers are really struggling without Hawes and are 8-10 without him in the lineup. The Grizzlies should own the paint with Gasol and Speights and company as the Sixers are just horrible in the paint without Hawes ( Elton Brand is very mediocre these days and isn't close to the player he was years ago, and he's also playing injured.. Brand's dropoff in play has been very noticeable over the past couple years. People who thought Brand is some huge key player when he came back into the lineup are delusional people, he totally sucks most nights and the Sixers looked alot better without him playing)

I'm looking all around the web for interviews and video feeds if I can find any news on Doug Collins and if he's instituting any gameplan changes (like running more) to get the team a much needed win, or if everything is just status quo. The Sixers really need a win bad as they've lost 5 of their last 7 games.

Philly has not been Philly without Spencer Hawes. Hes there game changer.

Should be a decent game though. Sixers have the fewest turnovers in league going up against the Grizzlies who are best in the league at forcing turnovers. If Philadelphia gets sloppy, Memphis will run away with it.

Memphis may be a fairly big play for me tonight. Memphis is very good against the East as well. People always stay mindful of who the public is on
