#3BettingWizard when he shows up. He only posts every few days.
Solid cappers who post their picks every day are: LTA, Monologue, and Lakerboy.Comment -

#6find someone who keeps one thread, updates an accurate record at the very least every 5-10 picks, and has won over a good sample size. paco and lta both fit this. although paco had a fkng tough loss on the superbowl, the man has picked documented winners at a high rate at a good sample. same with lta. if you flat bet every bet they both made at the lines they got it'd be tough for you to have a losing decadeComment -

#8Lakerboy is good at the NBA. He is streaky though.
Other than that, I would make your own picks.
Instead of following people on this site, you would be better off just fading every lock thread or any thread that says a team is easy money.Comment -

#9Yea, I make my own picks, just like to read threads of people who know what they are talking about. There is a dude on the college board that just picks WAC bball games and knows his sh?t. Those types of threads are helpful information.Comment -

#11Leave while you still can. There are MAYBE 5 people here that have a clue and absolutely noone you should follow. I guarantee you if you follow anyone, even someone claiming a documented winning record and even someone who is good, you will lose money anyway. You will not get the same line, you will miss a winning play and play a losing one.
Learn to pick or own game or just stay the **** away.Comment -

#12I'm of the thinking that you're better off setting back trying to learn, taking all the information you have, and then making your own selection.
If you tail someone, they will hit a bad streak and then you will be pissed that someone else's decisions cost you money.
Here are a few simple tips you may already know.
1) If you go big on a game and then before it starts, the line moves against you, you're most likely holding a loser.
2) If someone makes a thread saying a team is easy money, it's most likely a loser.
3) Despite what every one says, this board is the public. If the consensus is on a play here, it's usually a loser.
4) If a line looks way off, it's not. Either don't play it, or take the less obvious side.
5) Don't chase
6) Don't play too many games.
7) Know that you will get unlucky. Try to take it in stride and not go on tilt and start betting everything trying to win it back.
I use Pinnacle to look a lines. You can see where money is coming in with their dynamic odds.
The fewer the plays you make the better, but it's really difficult.
It seems like I make the most money on games that people aren't talking about or second half plays of games I'm watching and have a good feel for.Comment -

The other 1% may use tons of different approaches. Some guys swear by 1 method, others consider it a joke and all that is some where in between piles and piles of pure stupidity from posters dumber then the one before. Its mind blowing sometimes. If you wanna be successful this isn't the best place for you to learn.Comment -

#18Even so, do your own research cause unless you have a great filter for bs, 99% of information you will read on here is utter nonsense.

A win is a win no matter how much money is being wagered.
Me personally put more money than most people on this forum probably do but, that doesn't mean a kid whose betting $5 can't be right. Just saying.Comment -

#20Welcome to the site and my best advice is not tail someone just because they posted something. Read everyones thoughts and insights and make your best pick. If you want a question answered, post a thread asking for help or advice. Some things to look at are the RLM (Reverse Line Movement) meaning if their is 70% on a certain team at -5 and the line goes down to -4 and lower instead of the line going up to -6, makes it seem like the other team is the play. It's not always right every time and I wouldn't base my picks just on the RLM but, it's something to keep in mind. Research is definitely recommended and never bet with emotion and don't chase.
Welcome and I wish you the best and if you need any help don't hesitate to ask. BOL.Comment
