Knicks have finally put the pieces together.
I see a lot of people concerned or having doubts about the knicks when mello and amare come back. I believe the knicks will only get better from here and could even be a title contender. All this talk about mello being a ball hog is rubbish. To be fair, the knicks were running alot of isolation plays with mello previously, but that was due to the poor play of the pg position prior to Lins arrival. of course the offense was going to look stagnet or predictable with that kind of offense. At the end of the day, mello is still one of the best pure scorers in the nba. Mello just has to cut down on his dribble which he now can do now that Lin is running point. As for Amare, he will thrive with Lin in the pick n roll, but i think he really has to cut down on those 18ft jumpers and focus more inside the paint. I cant wait for mello and amare to come back for the knicks. I believe the knicks can make a deep playoff run this year.

yeah, guess we'll see soon.just noticed all this talk about mello's return being Lin's undoing. really think they can play well together along with the rest of that group.

looking at the knicks schedule, their current 5 game winning streak could easily reach 10 by the end of the week.

The thing about Lin is he will always take what the defense gives him. Rarely does he force a shot, although he did a couple of times vs the Wolves. I agree with you in that Melo's rap is way worse than it should be in regards to being a ball hog. I don't think he is opposed to the team concept, but the situation the Knicks were in forced him to have the ball in his hands almost every possession. He's even averaging 4.2 assists this year...

Lin did force a few shots last night. He also didnt have his legs under him last night, likely due to the fact of the minutes hes been getting. Expect things to get easier for him this week.

Knicks will never make a deep playoff run with their style of play, playoffs are a halfcourt game and the Knicks won't be able to cut it.

melo is a ball hog, thats his game
hes an iso player who needs the ball to be successful
people definately shud be concerned with how melo will fit in with this offense
hes gonna have to play off of lin, we will see how it goes

teams are starting to zero in on lin. dont know how much longer lin can carry the knicks by himself. With amare and mello back, it will only open things up for lin and his game will elevate to another level.
