Heat ML at -4500 , wow
Last time the Heat had a big ML over 2000 it was -2450 (spread was -14.5), and they beat Charlotte by 40 (it was also a sunday afternoon home game).

The largest opening ML this season was Portland -3000 over Charlotte the other night, and Portland beat them by almost 50. I think LB mentioned in his thread for this ML, that the ML moved to -4000 at some places.

The opening -4500 ML for the Heat today is the largest ML of the season thus far.

Only thing a Raps backer has to go on is the fact that Dwane Casey is Dallas' former defensive coordinator. And he knows how to work the 2-3 zone like the back of his hand... Heat have worked a lot against it since however and said they improved against it quite a bit. And of course, Casey had much better players to utilize this defense vs a top caliber opponent in Dallas.

Mavericks' 2-3 zone offers Heat matchup problems

"Mavericks assistant Dwane Casey, a perennial candidate for head coaching jobs around the NBA, is the architect."

What do you mean the only thing to go on? What about how awful big spreads do on Sundays?
