#3tail Dad, lta, juicycilantro to name a few. pr9 and bettingwizard also, although they do not keep one thread for their picks. there are other winners that give their picks as well, you just have to weed out the jokers like me who should never be tailed and still post a lot. and just gather as much solid info wherever else you can to make more informed picks.
that is a thread that i have fun following that bets simply on reverse line movement if the line is not more than 7.5 and a couple other stupilations are met. The system has been doing well, hitting at a 63% clip over a 70 game (small) sample size.
just a few thoughts, good luck!Comment -

#10If you want to recover ur losses, stop betting parlays/teasers. And if u have 1-2K u can afford to lose, find a game u find alot of value in and bet $1-2k - if u win cashout.Comment -

#13If I were to do this I would take the heat for the game. I they are down by 1st half double up on the 2nd half. Or put it all on pats moneyline. This is advice from someone who lost 15g in one month
But won 61g chasing in 4 years. Best advice quit while you are not addictedComment -

#17Teasers are not a good play in basketball for a few reasons:
1) usually you're only getting 4 to 5 points which doesn't usually have a lot of effect on a basketball game. 4 to 5 points is really on two possessions and a few missed free throws or a couple of garbage time baskets can swing the score against you. The juice you are paying to get a few extra points will kill you in the long run. Teasers are a solid play in the NFL because possessions and scores are very hard to come by. And 6 to 7 points can swing you off a key number that might have some value. My best advice, stay away from teasers in basketball.
2) If you like parlays and teasers, hopefully you're using a book that allows you to parlay different sports. I've noticed that it's easier to find a good 3 to 4 teams spread out over a few sports rather than in one sport. Opens up your options vastly.
3) I know you are looking to follow someone, but the best advice I can give regarding this is you have to learn to handicap the games yourself. A few years ago, I started betting football and was doing quite well. I said this was "easy". WRONG. I got creamed in basketball and baseball nearly wiped my bankroll out. But I cut back on my units and started really searching games and studying trends and basically using forums and other posters who could provide useful info...but never do i just blindly follow a pick.
4) give yourself time. The life of a gambler is not easy. It looks like easy money, but it is not. Lines and juice are so tight that you have to know exactly what to bet and when to bet to make money. I spend tooooooooo many hours a day studying and capping games. This is in essence a 2nd job for me and honestly, I've still not figured out a way to make a solid income out of it. I've had a lot of ups and many more downs.
I really do wish you the best of luck. I know 2k is a lot to lose (trust me, I've lost tons more at times) but you can make it back if you believe. But YOU must do your own work. It's your money, do you really want to trust it in the hands of another person that you've never met? Study and work hard and you'll start to learn the game (s). I'm now making a good amount betting on hockey, football, and soccer and hope to make a good run in baseball this year. And for each loss that I have, I learn something and hope to become a better "degenerate". That's what we all are. It's the desire for the easy buck that we're after and hopefully we'll all make it. #20sometimes it's smarter knowing how to tail the "right" people instead of spending 10 hours on a day capping and researching on your own..
