On Chicago sports radio today, the issue of Adidas and how it would affect their bottom line if him and Rose, both Adidas reps, joined forces in Chicago, and the rumor that Adidas doesn't want this because it wouldn't be good for business. The answer, to paraphase, was:
That's unbelivably dumb and stupid. Dwight (Howard) doesn't sell two shoes on his own, let alone carry a shoe company. It would be good for Adidas because if Dwight (Howard) went to the Bulls, the would win muliple championships with two of their top spokesmen heading the team. There has never been a center who was a top seller of shoes, or even remotely sold any shoes. The only exception was Shaq. But that was because they were being sold for $29.99 at Payless.
Seems pretty logical to me.
