Concerning this game, I wouldn't touch the Hornets with a 20 foot pole. They have a horrible offense, poor defense, no team cohesion, no go-to guy, they have no confidence, and they're playing a very talented team that's coming together offensively and defensively and covering spreads with ease.

With that said, I don't like any favorites against the spread on a TNT NBA day with three games. I've been burned too many times.

Number one, I think in all the games you mentioned the dog was at home. Number two, you're assuming New Orleans is near the same level as the other teams you mentioned but in fact, I've watched Detroit play, I've watched GS, even Toronto sans Bargnani...New Orleans is on average far worse than all of them imho. New Orleans has had their moments but betting on this being one of their better moments on the second of a b2b against a rested and surging Rockets team is too much for me.

Just read the quotes in the preview for this game on ESPN, it sounds like their team is ready to implode. Also, I did happen to watch some of their last game against Memphis and I've never seen a coach look as disappointed and unconfident as their coach did.

Of course, some of this is my interpretation of what I'm seeing and that's obviously subjective. Feel free to disagree, no problem.

My math says the spread should be closer to 6 or 7, I think 10 is too many. New Orleans defense has actually been trending upward over the last 2 weeks. This has the makings of a low scoring ugly game which favors the team getting 10.

^The line dropping from Rockets -10 to Rockets -9.5 could also indicate that Vegas *wants* ppl on the Rockets, because they're not going to cover.. just a thought
