from a ny knicks fan...... We got out hustled again..... Danilo Gallinari burned the Knicks in tonights game.....and made dolan and all the melo heads eat crow.... We just couldnt wait? We had to give up everyone.....mozgov even had a decent game and is starting in denver now! Miller who was traded for "felton", made some clutch shots.....and chandler is balling in china.....what did the knicks get? Yellow melo.....no defense, and a predictable post up game, effective but predictable.... Now we have no bench depth or real cap space to make a move. So we are stuck with the melo era......we could have waited? Cp3, howard, stat, gallo, chandler. Now thats a championship team.....

The problem with the Knicks is they think they can solve every problem with free agency. No you can't just go out and get some guy and suddenly have great defense. It doesn't work that way. You have to have a coach that actually instills discipline and a mantra that the whole team buys into. That's how teams get good. The GM drafts high character guys that will buy into a good coaches philosophy, and they believe in that system and they play hard and they all defend and dive for every loose board.

That's exactly how teams like Chicago, Denver, Indiana, Memphis and Philly got good. Yes, those teams are betetr than the Knicks...because they're well-coached, disciplined and they bought into a team defensive concept.
