It's pretty amazing the Wiz are only down by 5 when they've only hit 4 field goals over the first 8+ minutes of the 3rd quarter.

An excellent sign is they have shown tremendous defensive effort on that end of the court despite not doing anything offensively for long stretches. Usually those crappy teams fold when that happens and they quit defensively saying "oh no not again" to themselves.

But not the Wiz so far.

you can also tell a teams effort level by their rebounding, and they have done a good job overall in that department for this quarter as well.

i think it is something more than that. 12-2 and 12-3 is no difference. They are going to be 1st for playoffs, other teams in the west will throw some games too. Eventually it evens out but not the public's pocket.
