The way I see it over time this balances out because you can't really predict what the line will do unless you're fading a public play. Some times it moves in your favour other times it doesn't.

yea i hear ya. The way i see it with dogs and half points is that Id rather wait and see if I can get the hook at the better number i.e +3.5 to +4. And if it happened to drop to +3 I would take it there. That half point I believe is worth it and even if you get the worse number your only risking a push as compared to a loss.

because I rather play my own pick before looking at other people and usually it goes up or down either way so I think waiting wont give me +0.5 or +1 everytime, it really depends on the bookies...

because den was in bad position in flows and performances... plus 2 important guys are out and mem rocks at home, i found this play as "square" to be honest. many people were betting on mem, it doesnt show in concensus but I knew it...

Im pretty sure that was one of the criteria he looked at the cap the game.. obviously not every square bet loses. And i think looking at the percentage of public bets only applies to the spread. And even if 100% of the bets were on jazz ML then all those people are not very smart because it cant be profitable betting -500 juice everytime. Faves lose all the time.

my point being that i didn't see any reason in there for picking the nuggets... other than the fact that everything pointed to them being in a disadvantageous spot... and the only reason to take them would be cuz it's not looking like the "obvious winning play".

if u look for only good reason in picking ur game, u wont b able to last in sport gambling for long time. the line is made considering all the facts we know (means everything is equal except feeding games and trap games). we can simply ditch those 50:50 games and pick either feeding and trap games...
