The LA Fakers suck against good penetrating point guard and athletic guard play.. CP3 ?!

Their biggest blowout wins (knicks and utah earlier) were against atrocious PG and G play, with absolutely no penetrating threats whatsoever, and just flat out garbage at the guard positions.

Look at the teams that covered against the Lakers and/or SU beat them -Bulls (rose), Denver TWICE (Lawson - the Nugs covered both and won one convincingly), SAC, PORT (felton was penetrating at will whenever he wanted to and their offense worked off his penetrations) , hell even a rookie PG Kyle Irving and Cleveland covered on a b2b on the road , and Kobe needed 40 pts to secure a win in that one, etc etc

Moreover, athletic teams give the Lakers fits. And the Clippers are indeed a more athletic team than the slow plodding lakers.

Clips all day. Rested team + statement game + far more ahletic + they have 3 good Point guards lol (CP3, billups, Mo). Lakers are toast 2night

Lakers lose tonight. Clippers spread the floor with their 3 point shooters and drain all night. Went to the Clippers vs Miami game on Wednesday and I've never seen the crowd going nuts like that. I like the clips tonight, it's a 3 unit bet for me. But as we know the NBA is where amazing happens. lol

If the Clips just run and gun from start to finish they should win this game comfortably against an exhausted Laker team. If they relax and slow the game down, settle for jumpshots all night, then that plays in the hands of the lakers.

Griffin has to avoid getting into foul trouble. The one thing making me nervous on this one is the refs may favor the lakers (like the refs were pro nuggets last night, and when the Heat realized the refs were giving everything to the nuggets the Heat just relaxed and didn't even attempt to grab denver airballs right under the basket - that resulted in simple putbacks for denver)

I hope Del Negro is smart on this one and has the right game plan set. Just gas them out in the 1st half and the Lakers will be dead for the 2nd like they were in Denver and Portland .. Lakers were finished late in those games as they were simply overwhelmed.

This is a "SHOW" game, its the battle of LA . Lots of showtime celebrities in the crowd. Clippers are a show team. They must keep their identity in this one & that's what they MUST do. Run and gun. Period.

I love Portland but they piss me off sometimes. When they are in attack mode and going to the rim consistently, and also crashing the boards with their great rebounding, they are almost unstoppable (like they showed in OKC and LAL). But then you have nights like Phx and SA last night where they don't play like that at all. Instead of penetrating and dishing off, and the offense flowing through that, Felton is standing by the 3 -pt line and they pass the ball around the perimeter, settling for jumpshots with little off ball movement and not enough cutters. When they become a jumpshooting team like that they're average.

When they play to their identity they're devastating and fabulous to watch. Clips are the same in a sense. They must keep their identity tonight ( a sprinkle of crashing the boards bringing an extra player down low to help in the rebounding department like they did against the heat would be nice too). Because their identity is the elixir to beating the lakers in this spot tonight.

You have no idea what you're talking about lol. Lakers will have more rest towards the end of the reg season than ANY other team in the NBA. they've currently played the most games at 14 in 20 days.
Clippers win this game but their not the kings of LA nor will they come close to winning the Pacific Division.
