also having trouble seeing how the hawks lose SU... I think there's a slight chance for a mental breakdown with the Hawks, but if both teams are playing well, with their heads in the game, i think ATL wins the game. The spread, of course, is a different story. BOL.

More bets going to ATL today than any other team in the league, yet the line hasnt budged an inch. Maybe a Replay of Rox covering vs OKC the other night with the same parameters.. and countless other examples like PHX covering vs Port. etc etc

People dont realize that the NBA needs these poor teams to do something at home for fans to keep attending these games. And this has been a precedence & a recurring theme that has been paramount just about every night in this league. People get shocked just about every night in this league, and the results. But there is no reason to be, wake up and smell the coffee already.

People were TOTALLY blindsided when Indy was only -2.5 favorites vs Detroit in Detroit, after Detroit looked like the worst team in the league getting blown out every night while Indy was 4-1. Over 90% of the bets were on Indy, the line didnt move all day.

Well, we saw what happened that night with Indy getting blown right out of the building right from tipoff. Detroit was 2 steps ahead all night from from that ball tipping their way.

But take all of what i said how you want to take it

        .

if josh smith is shooting outside we lose. If they decide they don't need energy to play we lose. If playing the nets for the third time puts you to sleep we will lose. I am all over the hawks tonight though

In fact, not only has the line not moved at all today, with all the bets going to Atlanta.. but..

They are ALSO juicing the Nets, making it even more sexy to bet on Atlanta tonight.

This is exactly what happened before the HOU-OKC game the other night. All the bets were going to OKC after they blew out houston the night before , on basically the same point spread, and they were juicing Houston to make it even more appealing to bet on OKC.

Of course, Houston covered, even without Lowry and Lee. And i had houston all day at 2 units -- wanted to place more before that as i mentioned in a thread before the game in one of my plays-of-the-day threads.

And dont you think the Nets remember Atlanta blowing them out in their home opener.. hmm. That game had ATL -4.5 for that game in new jerseys home opener. So considering all thats happened this season with atlanta greatly outperforming the nets so far this year, and everyone and their mother down on the nets,, with atlanta beating miami AND chicago this year..

they decide to only open the line 1 point higher for this matchup tonight at -5.5.. And the line has not moved an inch all day with all the bets going atlanta. Whats hilarious is that the line moved a half point in their first matchup in new jerseys home opener and the bet disparity was a lot closer than today !!

yes they can! it's a 66 game trek... we all know the vaunted Lakers lost a ton to bad teams last year... however the Nets don't have enough fire-power to knock off the Nets... but they might get the backdoor cover.... Sammy

Actually there was a tad bit of RLM going on this morning for about 2 hours. The line went down to +5 and then back up to +5.5.

                  Interesting.

Yeah, it was way early this morning...like between 5-6:30am central time.

                      Any impact of this?

Because the same exact thing happened in the last OKC-HOU matchup for an hour or so early morning to bring more bets to OKC.. followed by it going back to the opening line all day.. not moving all day - coupled with the houston juicing all day long (even when down and hitting back up to the opening spread the houston juicing was consistent)

ps- the houston line moved a point once news of lowry not playing surfaced. but didnt budge from that, and didnt budge at all after the dip early in the morning to bring OKC bets in until the lowry news... Houston covered the opening line anyway. None of it mattered

Yep. I was all over that play as well as Detroit against the Pacers like you mentioned above.

Here's what I'm going with tonight. I cant make up my mind about the Bulls bc they are juicing the Pistons and making it look sexy to pick the Bulls...so I'm going to stay off for now.

                          Nets +5.5
                          Nets ML +185
76ers -5...got this line this morning
                          Raptors -3

I agree with most of your *general* sentiments, and have great respect for you, but don't you think you are taking one example too far?

                            (disclaimer: I'm on Hawks -5.5)

Thanks. Definitely a great day, went 5-2, and went fairly big on NJ +6. I got home from work about 30 mins before tip off, without even really looking into any of the games the night before. Once I saw that nearly 80% of the bets were on ATL and that the line didn't move up, I knew to bet NJ +6. Didn't even have to think about it. Didn't check injuries, trends, b2b stuff, I just bet it because the line told me to.

Also thanks for the heads up on the whole Denver ML thing. Laid off Denver and played Bulls -13.5 instead

Definitely needed a night like this after getting Tebowed, (had Pit in a couple different NFL teasers ) and making a late bet on the Sac game and settling for Sac +4 2H

Big card tomorrow PR, haven't really looked into any of them, but definitely curious to hear what your leans. Just from a quick glance, Milwaukee, Utah and Washington look intriguing. Spurs are yet to win an away game, and Bucks are hungry for a win to break their losing streak. Is it me, or does the line seem a bit low, I was thinking more of SA +4, perhaps a trap? Or maybe I'm just off.
