Anyone have an update?
The line seems to be doing strange things.
Heat were a 6.5 fav in Atlanta in both games (covered both). This was AFTER Atlanta beat them in Miami. A similar situation to now.
Last injury update on James and Wades status was last night around 12am. Both listed questionable but the consensus sounded like its more of a precautionary status. Wade said "feeling better, hope to play, we'll see". Lebron a bit more of a concern.
So the lines opens at -3.5 and quickly jumps to -4. Makes sense if 1 of the stars is ready to go and the other unlikely.
The line went down all the way down to -1.5 (BM) overnight. To me that says people think BOTH Wade AND James will be out. But no official news has indicated this, no twittering, nothing. Noone knows including the books, so why is the line jumping like that.
And if both are out, should the Heat really be fav? Can Bosh carry that team to a win? Even if the Hawks due take them lightly and other Heat scrubs step up, 60 points out of the line-up can not justify them being favs in this game. And -1.5 makes no sense to me if 1 James or Wade is in.
