The Lakers are a shit team roster wise and its obvious they are not even a top 5 team roster wise in the western conference. Everyone that said Kobe is no longer an elite player shall eat their words this year as Kobe looks like a boss even with an injured hand. He's unstoppable and Lakers are a threat only because of him. Shaq would never win rings without a top 3 player in the world on his team.

He's not the same player with explosiveness and all I guess its expected at this age, but sure he can get 25 a night, he's a scorer and a veteran, crafty and knows how to create space still to get his shot off. Lakers still have pieces and they still do run some triangle, when Bynum gets back they will be tougher and probably will give anyone a hard time at Staples.

A shit roster is what dwight howard is dealing with in Orland. A shit roster is what LeBron had in Cleveland. A shit roster is what Allen Iverson had for years in Phili. Kobe is not dealing with a shit roster. Gasol and Bynum are arguably the best power forward and center duo in the NBA. The Lakers have definite weaknesses (lack of depth, weak pg play), but they are far from a "shit" roster.

where did this belief that the lakers have a shit roster come from? Pau and Bynum are the best 4 and 5 combo in basketball. No one is close.

The lakers are elite because of pau and Bynum, not because of Kobe. Kobe had a shit roster without pau and guess what the lakers did? Absolutely nothing. Got destroyed by the suns two years in a row.

Rosters sure when it comes to depth. When Playoffs come the benches shorten. Not one of those teams is filling with the Lakets big 3 tho, that's damn sure. Lakers have arguably the best 2 4 & 5 man in the west..
