Hi sbr, how we doing tonight/today, I have been on fire with nba so i figured why not start posting. I follow some threads in ncaa hoops (filmoz) (madhatter) (ayo, sonny, buck) and have appreciated some of their insights picks and the fact that i have made a decent amount of money following their advice with my own knowledge.
I have been gambling for the better part of the past 5 years, currently I am griding it out in Vegas playing $1/2 nlhe as well as supplementing income with blackjack, but my money maker has been sports. I have been very good over the past decade wagering on NFL, NBA and ESPECIALLY MLB. I make a modest living I'm not a baller, a fake, or a fly by night. Obviously to get this thread going I'm going to need some winners, and obviously friendly banter as well as discussions is always welcomed. If you are simply going to flame, talk crap or say I told you so, please don't bother.
The goal here is to make us all money, I will do my best to post plays daily prove myself and hopefully I can help some of you make money in NBA as well as MLB this year. I have been a winning player (per year) since 2001, and keep all records of plays. I dont play much online anymore because I feel the doj is on the verge of shutting things down in a major way (full tilt has owed me over 9k for a while) finally looks like i might get that $$, we shall see. I am lucky enough to live in sin city so I have many options, i know juice here in vegas isn't the best but I also have a local I can use.
Anyways back to the basics, the picks!!!! If you are a player who has to take action i will post plays that I feel are only "leans," leans are plays that I WILL NOT be wagering on myself, but if i had to pick a side I'd pick that side. Plays are actual WAGERS I place myself, I dont believe in the 1-10 unit plays some of you believe in so I will strictly be using 1unit 2unit and 3unit plays. My unit amount isn't important but for the curious sole, it will be $200. I will probably have 2-3 ACTUAL plays each day with a half time or two as well. My twitter handle is @shawnj5 if any of you care, and i will likely post some plays on there but not as often as I will here.
I dont follow the 1-10 unit play because simply a bet is worth a bet or not. Often you will see a game you feel you have an edge in so you bet it (1unit), if you see a bet you really think is strong (2unit), if you absolutely LOVE a game (3unit) I dont do 10 units I dont do 5 units, I feel like that's too much of a variance in +ev vs -ev in the event you lose. I find it difficult to swallow going 3 out of 4 on a day only to lose my 10unit play and be down 7units that day. I have learned the hard way over the past 5 years. I know i dont have the experience as some of you do but I haev been gambling since 1998 almost daily on a sporting event or cards in some sort. I haev been bust many times, and bounced back many times, I have tried to be a pro for a few years now, and about a year ago I really hit my stride with money management and disciplined wages. Again I have recently figured out what works for me. Let's work together, and make some more money!!!. It's not mind blowing but it will leave you +money at the end of the year and isn't that the goal?!
I will try and post plays the night before or at least 2 hours prior to the game depending on the line, if/when i like it. Good luck guys happy wagering... If you want to post your own plays in my thread I dont mind, but in all honesty I dont see the point. if you want to discuss certain games, feel free to do so but posting 10 plays a day everyday START YOUR OWN THREAD...
