I didn't know how I would work on the court, it looked good on paper, but they look good on the court. I know its the first game, but barring injuries, I can't really see a team they can't beat in a 7 game series. They seem much better than the lakers. I was just thinking they have 5 all stars in the regular rotation(CP3, Billups, Williams, Butler, Griifin) and nba mvp, finals mvp, rook of the year, dunk champ, steals leader, and all except one is in their prime, and Chauncey past his prime still pretty damn productive. They can play any style you want, they can run, they can play half court, with the king of the half court offense Mr. Big shot. In close games, they have one of the best free throw and three point shooters in the league!! They have arguably the best back court and front court, they have the best backup pg in Williams, who would be a starter on every other team in the nba besides NJ, OKC, Dallas, GS. They also have a lot of good locker room guys, no disruptions, they are going to be scary come playoff time.

They dont look that scary to me. Seems like another example of a hyped up team that the casual fans fall in love with. Its completely irrelevant how they looked yesterday, its pre-season, as meaningless as it gets. Even the casual fans should know the pre-season doesn't mean anything, and if that wasn't enough, you'd be hard pressed to find a team that cares less about pre-season than the Lakers. Remember how terrible Kobe looked last pre-season?
As is, the Clippers roster has no balance at all and their bench looks terrible. They are stocked with PGs and combo guards, all will be undersized playing the SG spot. And despite Blake Griffin their front count might be the worst in the league. Blake/Jordan/Butler...ok, nice start, who are the back-ups? Who is the back-up C? Some 2nd round rookie? Backup PF? Brian Cook? Backup SF? Ryan Gomes? The Heat have more depth then that.
Clips will be improved for sure. But i hardly think they are scaring anyone. For me they have all the characteristics of a team to fade, especially early on.Comment -
Beg to differ. I'm not a casual fan, and yes preseason doesn't mean you will be great, but you can see somethings. As far as the Lakers caring less about preseason, if the Lakers don't make some moves, they will get their ass kicked. If the Lakers face the Clips in a series the only person in the Lakers lineup that won't get outplayed night after night is Kobe. Heat proved you don't need depth to go far. I'll take Clips 5 over Heat and Lakers 5 any day. Bosh is soft and always has been we can agree, so we're talking 2 players. Wow, what depth.Comment -
