..an out of shape wuzz that has sore legs from playing a few minutes?

--The MRI examination on Amare Stoudemire Thursday showed inflammation in the hamstrings and calves of both legs -- but continued healing and no complications with his surgically-repaired left knee.

Team physician Dr. Thomas Carter said the inflammation may account for the stiffness and pain Stoudemire was experiencing Monday night in New Jersey, when he decided to abort his comeback attempt after going scoreless in 14 uncomfortable minutes against the Nets.

Stoudemire will be taking anti-inflammatory drugs to reduce the problem and will be cleared to return to basketball activities and his rehab program "as soon as he feels comfortable."

I think the Suns just figure they were playinng fine without him and he will just mess up team chemistry by coming back at the tail end of the season.

Plus, he's 22, why risk something serious down the line when he didn't help them much when he played 34 seconds this season.

I know the kind of injury he has. Rest is really the only cure. i still have pain in my knees when I do squats and have had the same thing in my shoulders for years.(tendanitis)

His knee may indeed be fine, but he is visibly out of shape and has no lift. I'm not saying he looks like Shawn Kemp, but he has a quite a way to go before he regains the definition he had last season.
