Where is Dwight Howard Really Going?
With the rumors getting ready to start as soon as the Finals are over, what are your guys thoughts on where Dwight will be going? He's from Atlanta....does he go there? Everyone says that the Lakers are a lock...kinda what Shaq did. now here is what I think can happen...Chicago trades Boozer and a #2 player to get Howard assuming he signs the extension....imagine the Rose/Howard possibilities.

He can go to the Bulls for Scalabrine or Gibson, Asik, Noah, Korver and some picks plus another player from the Magic.

This trade would suck. Chicago loses too much. Reminds of the Melo trade.

nah, i think he'll stay with a short extension in return orlando will beef up back court & at 3 to 4, & they will go after kris humpries from jersey(he is a free agent) & will go after Ty Lawson + kmart from Denver for Jason Richardson + Brandon Bass + future picks. Greg oden & yao ming are also on the gamble list for them. Raymond Felton is the ideal target but his contract is too big & denver will not take gilbert or hedo or nelson.

interesting thing is, the Heats too will go after greg oden off season.

he should go to the Celtics, Rondo would help him.

Why would Dwight ever leave? They built the entire team around him, he has a max contract, and will sign another.

No way they trade both centers for one center. Scalabrine has no trade value, he was brought in to be a player-coach cause he knows thibs defense. The magic already have 3 point shooters so Korver offers them no value.

I could see the trade being Boozer, Noah and the two late 1st round draft picks for Howard, then the Bulls would either purse J.R. Smith or Rip Hamilton (or possibly Ray Allen).

That being said, i dont think Magic will trade him to an Eastern Conference team, but i dont see him staying put. Hes unhappy and they are starting to slip from the Eastern Powerhouse ranks.

You dont sound like you've been following this at all. He's from Atlanta, what? Rumors have started long ago. Not sure who this "everyone" is that thinks the Lakers are a lock because according to those rumors they fell out of his top 3 choices which are Orlando, Dallas and NJ.

Trade involving Gasol's soft ass and a few scrubs like Blake I'd imagine.

I've always heard LA because he wants to be close to Hollywood and he wants to act and such...I would vote ORL or LA. No matter where he goes he's leaving millions on the table if he leaves and with the looming lockout it could be more. Stay in ORL and get paid is what he should do, but thats just me.

Even though Howard should leave right now... he seems like he's one of those unique athletes... who stays until the end. Money doesn't matter... etc. Yes, I'm sure he'd like to be the highest paid... just like anyone else would... my point is... He's a team player and I don't think he makes the move.

Anyone who goes after him will give up a sh#$load. The Chicago theory sounds great... but you would have to give up a lot in order to get him. I think he'll weigh out a few options... but he'll end up staying in Orlando.

He will probably go to the lakers, then cp3 to the knicks in a year. This is the new era of the NBA super teams.

Love to see Chicago go get him. They need the superstar to pair with Rose. Open up the cupboard and let Orlando take what they want. Boozer, Noah, Gibson, Watson, Brewer draft picks......nothing, except for Rose is off limits. Oh yeah, make em throw Jason Richardson in too.

He might stay in Orlando.. Boston is a possibility. But he certainly won't be going to LA, as that would require them trade Bynum.

He should go to OKC, Durant/Westbrook/Dwight = the big 3 from Oklahoma. Perkins looks like he's had a heart attack after every game he should have stayed at Boston.

Apparently his preferences are Orlando, Dallas, NJ, Lakers. I don't see him leaving Orlando unless they give him a good reason next season.
