Also did you notice how he got called for traveling in Cleveland at least 3 or 4 times a game (crab dribble). He comes to the Heat and suddenly he doesn't travel anymore (although they did call a travel on him tonight). Did Lebron become a bigger star in Miami? It sure looks that way.

I hate floppers, I don't care what team they play on. The league should review all calls and punish the floppers. They said they were going to crack down on it but didn't do a thing. Jason Terry flopped last night to give Westbrook a technical, Bosh flopping a foul on Boozer a few months ago and Lebron flopping a smack to his face tonight were horrible. Players should have to pay a huge fine for that shit. I don't want the Heat to win a title but I really don't care in the big scheme. I just hate seeing the game I love go to shit over bad or scam refs. Call a fair game for both teams.
i'll give you the crab dribble thing. i have noticed that no longer gets called. that's my number one "wtf moment" with the way lebron is treated now. other than that, i'm sure it's easier to notice things when the tables turn. not that what you're saying isn't true, but maybe it's coming to life more now that he's a member of the heat.

i think there's a rule that flopping in the nba will result in a foul called on the flopper. i might be completely wrong on this, but i think it's one of those rules they don't enforce, but it is in the book. until they start calling it (assuming my facts are not mixed up, and the rule does actually exist), i think flopping should result in a one-way ticket to hell. i'd rather watch keeping up with the kardashians than watch grown men pretend to fall for 2 hours. it's disgusting.

        1) There was no foul at the end of the game, I watched it in slow motion and it was a clean block by lebron.

        2) I say you don't like lebron beceause you never created threads about the heat until lebron came and left cleveland. All you do is talk about how Lebron is a baby and post a million pictures of every team the Heat have played against--Boston, anyone. Its clear you don't want them to win badly.

        3) The Heat will get bullshit calls because they have 2 hall of famers. End of story. You get the benefit of the doubt as a superstar--in EVERY sport. The Brady rule, in the world cup in a big moment you get the call if your messi or ronaldo.

        Thats the way it works.

          Rasheed Wallace Unhappy With Officials

The NBA announced to its teams this week at its annual pre-draft camp that fines will be imposed on players starting next season for clear cases of "flopping," ESPN.com has learned.
The league office has yet to determine exact fine amounts for offending flops and how fines might escalate for repeat offenders, but in-game arena observers and video reviewers will be instructed to report instances of theatrical flopping for potential punishment as part of postgame reports on officiating and other matters.
The league's pledge to crack down on flopping was conveyed to team representatives at Tuesday's competition committee meeting in Orlando.
NBA executive vice president of basketball operations Stu Jackson confirmed the new policy Wednesday night saying: "What was clearly expressed to the committee is that we would begin imposing fines next season for the most egregious type of flops. When players are taking a dive, for lack of a better term."
[+] Enlarge Elsa/Getty ImagesThe Cavs' Anderson Varejao, left, may be fined next season if his actions are found to be a clear case of flopping.

Because a precise penalty system has not yet been structured, it is not yet known whether serial floppers will be subject to possible suspensions after a certain number of fines for flopping, as seen with the league's protocol on technical fouls. Players who accrue 16 technicals during the regular season are hit with a one-game suspension when they get to No. 16 -- the limit is seven technicals during the playoffs -- and receive one-game suspensions for every other technical thereafter (No. 18, 20, etc.).
Detroit's Rasheed Wallace, a player who has 15 technicals this season and has been suspended in the past for being over the limit for technicals, gave his opinion of floppers to ESPN after the Pistons' 106-102 loss to the Boston Celtics in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals on Wednesday.
"All that bull[expletive]-ass calls they had out there. With Mike [Callahan] and Kenny [Mauer] -- you've all seen that [expletive]," Wallace said. "You saw them calls. The cats are flopping all over the floor and they're calling that [expletive]. That [expletive] ain't basketball out there. It's all [expletive] entertainment. You all should know that [expletive]. It's all [expletive] entertainment."

yes, and they were supposed to do something about it. but they don't.

so we will continue to get ginobili and parker on the floor every trip down the court, and a lebron "oh my eye!!" routine here and there as seen tonight, and all kinds of other theatrics i don't care to name at the moment.

what sucks is reggie miller works for tnt and is now starting to call college games, and he champions all this shit...obviously.

Wade took infront of rose to make a 4 pt play and that james clutch to tie it up i would be getting a dollar if you aint make it and you would win a yacht if you make it...grow up boy.

If the Heat win the title, Lebron and Co. can be very happy they ganged up to do so. Lebron James will go down in NBA history as the biggest fraud, cry baby that couldn't build a title, but had to buy one.

The fix only works if both teams cooperate - meaning the team that the game is being fixed for (in this case the Heat) has to make shots, and the team the fix is against (the Bulls) has to miss shots/turn the ball over. In the last 4 minutes, the Heat made incredible shots particularly those 3's by Lebron and Wade, the Bulls missed everything except Rose's miracle shot in the lane, the Bulls turned the ball over (thanks to the Heat defense), and the Bulls couldn't get a good look at the end (again thanks to the Heat defense).

I don't dispute that every time Chicago was ready to blow the Heat out in this series the refs stepped in and kept it close. That has been happening in the NBA forever. But all of the above still had to happen in order for the Heat to win the game.

The thing about a fix is that it has to be subtle. It has to look legit.

This was no coincidence that every time Chicago made runs in this series the refs stopped the Heat bleeding. 1 time is an anomaly, 2 times could be a mistake, EVERYTIME is the fix. The fix is not to purposely hand the win to a team, the fix is to just give enough advantages for the team to win. These are professionals, you don't have to totally fix the game. You just give one team a little advantage and it's enough for them to win. Look at the 4th quarter in all of these games. Refs let Miami clamp down physically and make the Bulls shots come harder while Miami got easy free throws. Sure Miami get's credit for playing great defense but if you look closer you see the bumps and broozing that never got called.

Mac, I don't disagree. I guess the fact that the Heat opened up -190/-200 to win the series WITHOUT home court advantage was the most telling thing before a game was even played.

                            ^^^Very good point...

I'm not taking away anything from Lebron. He's played a great series and he stepped up in the 4th quarter in each game. The guy has clearly been the best player on the court in the series but to watch the refs manipulate plays is disgusting. we're watching a charade and nothing we can do about it. TNT won't even show replays. I'm not sitting at home with tinfoil on my head but I can smell a cccconspiracy even if I can't spell it...

if you know the refs are on Miami, bet accordingly. you keep betting on bulls but still bitching around that it was fixed. you are a moron if you ask me. the refs didn't stop time on those 3 pointers and took the ball inside the rim. they didn't miss 70% of the shots from rose, he missed it. you say Miami gets 10 more FT/game. Well, check the games again and maybe all of you specialists will discover that when Rose drives to the rim, he avoids contact, he doesn't go straight in the defender, like Wade or Bron do.why aren't you bitching about dallas with all those comebacks? i never saw ONE thread on that topic. Everyone said WOW dirk is the real deal, Mavs are the real deal, but when Miami comes back, it's fixed. Your IQ is lower than the outside temperature. In Celsius degrees.

Game 4 & 5 free throw discrepancy 71-43....Nope....No fix there.

I'll tell everybody where the early turning point in this series came & IMO it was terrible. The Bulls blast the Heat in game 1. Then in game 2 the Bulls dominate the 1st Q & jump out to an early 2nd Q double digit lead. There was a loose ball & Brewer & a Heat player simultaneously dive for it. Brewer won the loose ball & they called a foul on him. replays showed a terrible call. After that the whistle blew left & right on the Bulls & every single call was ticky tacky the Heat were in the bonus w/ 10:00 to play in the Q. The heat had the lead by halftime & it never stopped from there. That was the way this series was called. But in IMO the momentum swung w/ the refs had the Heat in the bonus 2:00 into the Q. I've never seen an NBA team in the bonus that early in a Q before??

I'm not saying the series was fixed but I will say it seemed like the Bulls were getting the worst of it routinely. I mean I know LeBron & Wade are slashers & get to the line more frequently than normal. But Rose & Deng are slashers too. Congrats to the Heat they were obviously the better team & deserved this series. But if you honestly think the officiating was equal in this series you didn't watch it.

See your argument doesn't make sense, if the game was rigged for the Heat to win, the refs would have controlled it from the start and not let the Heat lose control of the game. Superstars get the benefit of the doubt, end of story. Derrick Rose is no where near the superstar calliber player like Wade or Lebron. These guys have been in the league for a while and the refs know everything about them.

You think the refs thought Miami would win the game in the last 2 seconds? They had no fukin clue. They probably thought the game was over...

His point was valid... Rose drives to the hole more than Lebron or Wade but didn't get many calls at all. I really didn't see Deng do much slashing to the hole but rose tried more than Wade and Lebron put together and he was getting the shit kicked out of him, missing bunnies because he was getting bumped but got no calls. Even his last 3 point shot he got bumped by Lebron and couldn't get a call.

Lebron and Wade both got phantom calls where they weren't even touched and the refs put them on the line. What kind of shit is that? They both even clowned on camera afterwards knowing they got over.

the NBA has said many times that there's no such thing as superstar treatment and that the refs are taught to call a foul a foul. You guys are clearly admitting that the Heat got star treatment which is proving what we're pointing out.

Found this on another thread here ; pretty interesting. Curious to see how bad the officiating will be for Mark Cuban; at least he will speak up about it unlike Tibs

There is to much money to be made if miami wins everything and the games are fixed 100%.Fact is 4 billion dollars plus for a miami win. If dirk and the mavs win what do they get, nothing?? A few million in endorsements? The NBA is fixed and its clear the way the officiating was going the entire series and its a sad day in the NBA. This is probably my last season watching this wwe piece of sh!t , sh!t show pathetic debacle "sport" .When it comes down to it no one cares about dirk and he brings really minimal revenue or popularity to the NBA so keep that in mind.

The Heat will not lose against the Mavericks.
When you have Charles Barkley getting phone calls from Nike, and Nike is asking Charles Barkley "why do you keep putting down Lebron? Go easy on Lebron" then you know there is something deeper than basketball going on here. Nike wants to protect their investment. Lebron has more endorsements than any player in the entire NBA.
Nike is going to make over 4 billion dollars if Lebron James and the Heat win the finals against the Mavericks. You really think that a corporation like Nike is going to allow the Dallas Mavericks to get in the way of making 4 billion dollars? Do you think these companies give a crap about the authenticity and fairness of the game? There's BILLIONS of dollars at stake here.

James has endorsement contracts with Nike, Sprite (owned by Coca Cola), McDonald's, Glacéau, Bubblicious, Upper Deck, and State Farm. You have major corporations foaming at the lips for Lebron to win a championship. You're telling me there's not a single crooked person in any of these companies that will try to sway a championship?
Dwyane Wade is also part of the Nike Family and poses as a superspy in commercials for the Jordan Brand this season. In addition, he has endorsements with Gatorade, Lincoln, Staples, Sean John, Pepperidge Farm and T-Mobile. Source: http://www.octagonfirstcall.com/cele...0-2011-season/
I hate saying that the referees will win games for teams. But when you have this many corporations involved and you have billions and billions and billions of potential dollars that could be made from Lebron winning, I would not be surprised if some referees are paid off.
The NBA Championship has been bought and sold by Lebron James' endorsement companies. Expect the referees to call a billion fouls on the Mavericks.
                                                  ----------------

Is the Marketing director of Nike a good source for you? Cause it was a quote from him. Also if Bloomberg and Forbes are not good enough sources for you, then I don't know what is.
Nike is going to make 4 billion internationally if Lebron wins a championship.
Here's a quote from one of the articles:
"LeBron James is already generating millions of dollars for Nike Inc. and as his stature grows, so does the money for the sports endorser.
According to a former marketing director for Nike, Terry Rhoads, the 26-year old LeBron James will add as much as $4 billion in revenue from China alone if he finally wins an NBA championship with his new team the Miami Heat.
“LeBron is white-hot with the Chinese basketball-loving youth, but his popularity and influence outside of that circle is limited,” Rhoads told Bloomberg, who now heads Zou Marketing. “One reason is the lack of titles.”
That may not be a problem for much longer. The Heat are heavy title favorites this season and only three wins away from an NBA Finals berth. Then it will just be four more wins until LeBron James adds “NBA champion” to his resume which includes two Most Valuable Player awards and an Olympic gold medal.
James needs to win multiple titles in order to transcend his sport just like what Michael Jordan did when he won six titles with the Chicago Bulls in the 1990s. If he is able to pull it off, then his endorsements, including that of Nike, will even be gargantuan than what it is now."
Nike, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s and a handful of other companies are currently paying LeBron James approximately $30 million annually to promote their products and services.

but, like I said before, this playoffs have been foul. Miami had a license to steal to get to the finals. The disparity in calls were ridiculous. I'm curious to see if it continues in this series. I think Cuban will go off the ledge if this shit continues.

I mean who cares who wins, its about profit. Go to ESPN forum to talk sports or to a political forum to talk conspiracys.

You should be focusing all your handicapping skills (if any) on finding the angles that lead you to believe as to which team the NBA wants to win. According to you, its the heat. Then bet the house on the Heat. Easy Peasy...

Why would Stern want to see the most hated team in the NBA win the title with the most hated player? That shit doesn't = revenue. People want to see Lebron fail and that means more sales for NBA because people are feeling good about Lebron failing

People want to see Lebron fail and that means more sales for NBA because people are feeling good about Lebron failing
