Asik out for rest of playoffs.
Chicago Bulls center Omer Asik will miss the rest of the postseason because of a fractured left fibula, the Bulls confirmed Wednesday.

The injury occurred during Game 3 of the playoff series against the Miami Heat. The diagnosis was confirmed via MRI and CT scan before Game 4, but Asik still attempted to play on it.

The Bulls said Asik's injury will not require surgery and the recovery time is six weeks.

CSNChicago.com first confirmed the report of the fracture. Turkish basketball broadcaster Ismail Senol had tweeted that Asik would be sidelined for six to eight weeks because of an ankle injury.

Asik entered Game 4 with 55.2 seconds left in the first quarter, promptly fouled LeBron James and had James land on his leg in the process. Asik gingerly walked away, and then played only 58 seconds in the second quarter before retreating to the locker room for the night.

Asik's injury could affect his role with the Turkish national team this summer.

Big blow for Chicago.... and the Turkish national team. Gonna be hard to win with out Linguine

Taj has played 23,21,12,10 this series. I think they like him more at home anyway. I would expect his minutes to be back in the 20's, I would guess 24-26. He can backup Noah also. I figure Taj for 10-12 points, so this is not a real easy prop, but doable.

Good, then this would mean Scalabrine will get activated.

Kurt Thomas was activated for game 4, he just didnt play, which was weird cause Noah was getting tired. They put Gibson in. I think they wanted their top players cause the game was tight. I think we will see Thomas play early on, and his continuation will be dependent on his performance. As for Scalbrine ... IDK lol. I dont think they will activate him, but what the hell. they need somebody who can hit a shot lol

I kinda figured it wouldnt work out well. He is a fineness player, so a bad leg takes alot away from his game. Hopefully he will work more on adapting to the American game this offseason and comeback strong !

I don't think it matters what kind of player you are. Every jump would send a painful shiver down your leg. Bring on Kurt!
