Jerry West joins Warriors front office

One of the most respected executives in the NBA is joining one of its most challenged franchises.

He got Pau Gasol to the Lakers for a bag of peanuts as Memphis GM..What will he do this time

Chris Wallace made the trade for Pau Gasol, not Jerry West.

Dumb trade for Golden St., makes no sense. They've gone downhill since they traded Stephen Jackson.

1)Chris Wallace made the Gasol trade.

2)The trade was great for Memphis. Did you not notice that they got a lot better after trading Pau? They got younger, cheaper, and got Arthur and Marc Gasol. Memphis did very well in that deal.

No kidding. That's why the trade isn't happening. goldengreek made it up.

Aside from the fact that GS wouldn't do it, the salaries don't even come close to matching up.

No kidding. Even though the trade didn't have an immediate impact, it turned out to be a great trade for Memphis. They did better than the Lakers this post-season and I think it's safe to say they have been able to build a winner by trading Gasol.

If Gasol had stayed in Memphis, they would still be sucking.

It did end up creating the Big 3 in Boston and then the Big 2.5 in Miami.

                      How is that?

Either would've likely been formed regardless of where Pau was playing.
